Why don’t you start your deads from the floor? I’d imagine your wasting some energy picking it from the rack and then setting it down before you attempt. Is this how you’ve always done it?

Not sure what happened to the video, but I just change it up every now and then, I like to gain the momentum from starting it on the rack and it actually makes me feel more confident and pumped when I can pick up the weight from there and get a feel for the weight.

I just went through kind of the same thing. My deadlift went from 350 X 1 to 365 X 6 in about a month just from doing rack pulls every other session.

Power Day.

Every now and then we have a power day.
It’s full of farmer walks,tire flips, and sledgehammering tires.

Also different squat variations and deadlifts.’

The only thing that I can really tell you about today is that I was able to box squat 315 13 times.

So, I’m figuring that in a couple weeks I’ll max out my squat and do hopefully pull of 455 for 1. This will def be video taped.

Alright, I know I’ve been absent for a while but I have some pictures/videos.

I was able to pull of 405/7 for dead lift but unfortunately could not hit 495 once again, I think if I start training my hamstrings ( DUH ) then I’ll hit it. I know I know.

Here’s a video of my 405 deadlift. I have a rage video of not being able to hit 495 if anyone wants to see it, I think it was dumb but it shows me missing the 495 then flipping a bench and running outside in the rain in socks to flip tires…I was really upset haha.

3 plates per side for 50 reps x 3 sets

Not many exercises but tons of weight and took us a while due to the amount of people

by the way i weighed myself in , Im 195 with 9-10 bf, biggest ive ever been

180 x 40ish ( at some point I just went blank and kept repping out haha, calf pumps hurt)

and i went and did abs after this, those sets took a toll and it’s my first week back after coming back from toronto of drinking and no training.

It didn’t post but I hit a new PR of 455 x2 , deadlifted 465 x2 ( still can’t hit 495 ) . Those are my two new PR’s. I’ve also continued cutting and I’ve gained some mass, i’ll attach some pictures.

Today was supposed to be a leg day, but my lower back was hurting from back the day before so I did a set of leg extensions then went into bench.

315 x 3 on my own which is a PR and 1 more rep spotted. Usually I have assistance from 2-4 this time it felt like 225.
I was going to try 365 or something like that but I just decided to rep out. Next week I’m going for 365 . I might take a video, but if no one is really interested in it/or there is no dis belief in my lifts I might not even bother haha.

Not sure what my weight was for this. But it hurt.

I was dead after the two consecutive benches.

Tomorrow is leg day, I’m going to go for a 5 plates squat, I’ll more than likely video this for form revision and a little bit of ego .

Hit a 365 bench press then hit 225 for 15 immediately after. What makes this so super duper is now I have strept throat, I’ve eaten 3 bowls of french toast cereal and 2 cans of soup…if this is going to be my diet for the next week I’m going to lose this strength which fucking sucks. I’m trying to eat 2 chicken breast now though.

I’m baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.

Okay, well I was finally able to figure out my password this account. I am going to start this log up, will be doing a physique show in November, this will help me track my diet/training and hold me somewhat accountable for progress.

Stats:

5’11
23 years old
Training for 8 years
208.4lbs
Started in powerlifting and now have moved on to an aesthetic/“functional” approach to my training.

I am currently 17 weeks out from my first Physique appearance, started my diet and training roughly 4 weeks ago where I weighed in at 232.
( The crappy mirror photo of my flexing my bicep is a glimpse of the BF i had on me at the time)

I am now sitting at 208.4lbs this morning. Not quite sure what I would like to step on stage as, but for now its about cutting the fat so I can truly see my weak points and concentrate on those and conditioning. Don’t mind the poses, they haven’t been practiced yet and that was me just fooling around before a workout.

Since I can’t post all photos in one topic here are the rest this is me at the start ( more pictures to come)
