My TRT Experience - Opinions Wanted

Man. Since stopping the AI, I’ve become pretty aggressive. Hopefully this will pass.

Stopping anastrozole cold turkey can cause an E2 rebound, quite uncomfortable if you ask me. It is short lived though. My heart was pounding and thought I was going to die.

Wondering if I should taper it?

Thanks for sharing. I was starting to get concerned…exhibiting same symptoms. How long did it last?

It took about a little more than a week to reach the E2 rebound, it was all over after about an hour. If I had it to do all over, I would have tapered slowly.

Defy ordered some additional labs to get a better picture. This was 4 days after stopping AI.

You have a lot of room to decrease the T dosage to bring estrogen down, Free T is supraphysiological which wouldn’t be a issue if estrogen was lower.

Thanks. I feel pretty good overall. I switched from sermorelin to a sermorelin/ipamorelin blend. Looks like it’s a bit more potent in regard to IGF-1…

Jesus man your bloods are really f’d up. You need to stop listening to all these randoms on the internet and listen to defy before you get taken farther down the rabbit hole.

Can you elaborate?

These labs say one thing. Lower dose no ai. Which we have been saying.

This is trt not pharma. To op if you want to keep your levels that high , you are in super physio level and would need to introduce other chemicals/medicine to straighten things out. You want to do this for many years??

Remember this

I have no desire to keep it that high. Frankly, I’m perplexed. When I was on the same protocol and an AI, I hovered between 800’s and 1000. Must be the HCG. I seem to feel much better on HCG which is why I take it. Their protocol is to reduce test cyp by a bit when adding HCG. Maybe my boys are working harder than I thought…

The only thing “messed up” is my test and e2 are high. The IGF-1 is due to sermorelin/ipamorelin and I’ll just decrease that dosage by 1/3rd. No big deal. I feel much better being off the AI. So now, I’ll decrease the test cyp dosage (whatever protocol the doc recommends) and work on getting those numbers down. Overall I feel great and none of these numbers are a concern as far as I can tell, as long as I don’t choose to live with them over a long duration.

Getting the T and E2 to the proper level is all TRT is about so saying just those two things are out of wack is not a problem. Well I beg to differ. As for the IGF-1 @300 depending on your age that could be the target number. They want me at 200 but I am 65 years old if you are in your 20-30’s 300 could be perfect.

Appreciate your perspective. I’m 43.

Don’t F*** around with high cortisol. It just induced central serous retinopathy. Vision in one eye is very distorted. High cortisol + my high stress job just F’d me.

Getting my protocol straightened out. After this last set of labs, doc wants me injecting 3xWeek and cutting my dose to .25 x 3. I was concerned about Ferritin but he still wants me to do one last therapeutic donation June 4th. He didn’t seem concerned about the low ferritin. @hrdlvn

I was also diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. 5th night on a CPAP and I feel great. This seems to be the root of a lot of my issues.

Just stumbled onto this log, feel like I’m reading my own story, 'cept I’m 55. Had OSA, was never compliant with CPAP (felt great when I was), switched to an oral device, ended up losing weight and dropping it.

Also had CSR due to stress at work. Have had it three or four times in the last four years.

Also, your A1C is elevated - same as mine. Keep an eye on that.

In for the follow.

Wow…crazy the similarities. I talked to Doc today about A1C. He said the Sleep Apnea was making me Insulin resistant and that will improve with time. I finally feel like I have all of the answers. Now it’s the waiting, heh.
