Yes…FOR A FUCKING TROLL, who you even acknowledge is one, and in reference to WHY he was on tribunal (which I just wrote to you is easily understood considering WHO WE ARE TALKING ABOUT even if I woudln’t have acted the same).
What the fuck is it that you are not getting?
Right, and we are back to the beginning.
You support using the Tribunal to boot out people based on reputation alone - i.e., their reputation that they are a troll - and not their actions.
Same thing I said earlier. If having a reputation as a troll gets you kicked out via Tribunal, well then, by God, you are getting kicked out not on your actions, but on your rep.
Nothing I didn’t say earlier, and despite this trainwreck you’ve offered up - “I don’t support people getting kicked out based on reputation period, except when their reputation is that of a troll” - you’ve proven me right.
It’s over. The Tribunal issue has solved itself. Salvaging your ego isn’t anyone else’s priority, so let it go.
In any case, none of the other Tribunals got even close to the requisite votes to kick them out. People aren’t getting kicked out because they aren’t liked.
Precisely a point I made earlier - T-Cell Alpha members have decided Tribunals shouldn’t be used to kick out people they don’t like. Which is good, and I agree with that.
You prevent it by voting their choice down and expressing your distaste for such pettiness, but HH was, in fact, removed because he wasn’t liked.
I think that was a bad idea in principle, because that essentially turns such a vote into “let’s vote on who is a troll” and that is really in substance no different than trying to remove someone because you don’t like them, and had potential to inject far too much drama in a forum that was supposed to avoid juvenile antics. Again, luckily, that was rejected.

That is NOT the point you made earlier. NO ONE has been kicked out just because they are not liked. A TROLL got kicked out for being a TROLL. Big difference, genius.
I picked people I didn’t like to be IN that forum.

Maybe a few people use the Tribunal that way [how would you prevent that?] but not enough that it’s an issue. The only successful Tribunal removed a disingenuous troll.

Ok, we will respectfully agree to disagree. This is the last I will say on the matter. I’m not a fan of Headhunter. But I did not vote to remove him because I disliked him. I voted to remove him because of a extensive, pervasive, and persistent pattern of conduct that said to me that he was a disruptive and divisive influence that brings down the level of discussion and that this would happen in T-Alpha should he be allowed to reamain. I think he was voted out because enough members determined based on objective evidence that he could potentially ruin T-cell Alpha. Conversely, none of the people who were disliked based simply on personality or the subject matter of their posts came even close to being voted out. I think there is a difference. At some point, conduct goes beyond just being distasteful and something an individual disagrees with and becomes objectively disruptive and useless. And T-Cell Alpha as a group is mature enough to recognize the difference. Therefore, any pettiness in the Tribunals becomes a non-issue. It doesn’t and won’t carry the day.

Damn, I’ve been gone too long… does this mean we can vote people out? ;)
Welcome Back, Vroom! Seriously and I’m not being facetious; I wondered what had happened to you? Glad you’re okay…thought something bad had happened.
We now have a private posting area where you can get kicked out even before you post! Isn’t that exciting? Those who scream against prejudice now practice it themselves. Its really quite fascinating!

The only difference in a TROLL and SOMEONE YOU DON’T LIKE is a matter of degree - and if you were right, and it were that easy to label a TROLL, the vote against HH or any other TROLL would be unanimous.
It’s not, and your distinction is a false one, because you assume everyone can agree on who is and isn’t a TROLL, and therein lies the rub. Given the penchant for drama around these parts - with you naturally being the lead queen - I would fear that using the Tribunal to eliminate TROLLS would be on a slippery slope to abuse in instances where some being a TROLL was less clear cut: my point all along, even if you thought HH shouldn’t be there in the first place.
I think it is better if Tribunals only be used to police conduct as it occurs, to avoid the slippery slope problem.
But no one cares anymore. Pat is right - you are in the grips of rank pettiness. Grow up.

You admit he is a troll. Therefore, you are simply arguing a nonissue. If you agree he is a troll, then trolls should be kept out of that forum. Period.
The only “rank pettiness” is anyone acting like HH is contributing to the forums with anything worth reading.

Thanks, and no, nothing bad. Life has gotten a whole lot busier lately so I haven’t been able to devote much time to bickering about inanities.

Some things still seem to be the same. The pot is still calling the kettle black.
Fantastic - Vroom has been back five minutes, and already indulging in nonsense.
Go read the thread - it is a mere disagreement on how activity should be policed in the T-Cell Alpha. Professor X can’t stand the idea that someone won’t follow along with his approach, and he has whined ever since.
I suggested we end the nonsense and he let it go. He doesn’t, because he can’t.

He’s upset from being booted from the Air Force. I can understand how he feels — been fired before from my paper route when I was 12…took a shortcut over some old grouch’s backyard.
Old grouchs, and Generals who get tired of being called ‘racist’…that’s the way it goes.
I understand your frustrations with Professor X, but let me stop you here - did he really get booted from the Air Force?
I have no idea as to the story, but if he didn’t, don’t say he did.
That is a damnable thing to say about someone if you don’t know it to be true, and I will defend Professor X’s part on this one.
If you don’t know it to be true, an apology is owed.
I was not booted from the Air Force. I signed up for four years. I completed four years. They wanted me to re-enlist. I chose not to. That is called “separating” from the Air Force and I am STILL on reserve…which means I am technically STILL IN THE AIR FORCE.
All HH has proven is that we were right to consider him a troll.
I have an HONORABLE discharge…which makes my resume golden. I can pretty much walk into any clinic and get hired.

If someone chose to leave a job for greener pastures, why do they post a long lamentation about the ‘Wind’, with snakeyes at the top of the thread? Why do they bemoan life, which is evident all over that post?
Some kind hearted people let the person in question resign, so his career wouldn’t be ruined or he wouldn’t sue. Big fucking deal.
He has, on numerous occasions, insulted me and my teaching career — “You’re a teacher? Those poor little children!” Turnabout is fair play.
He also accused me of inviting myself into the Alpha thing and then tribbing myself, both of which proved false. Where’s the apology there?
Sorry, TB, I don’t apologize to assholes.
Fair points.
My biggest objection was whether there was any truth to your assertion. If it is flatly false, I think you shouldn’t traffic in the assertion.
If you want to return in kind and sarcastically express sympathy for his patients or insult his career or intelligence, that is different.
I am not the boss of the forums with the ability to tell you what to do, mind you, just expressing my opinion. Trading in naked insults and spreading misinformation are different animals, in my view.

Because he has the attention needs of a melodramatic 11 year old, not because the Air Force booted him out. There simply is no plausible reason to suggest he got kicked out of the service.
Continuing to suggest so only reflects poorly on you.
