My Training Log for the 2020 Transformation

Congratulations on the birth man. It’s a scary time when you see the little ones going through that. We had a few issues with my little man when he was born so I can definitely sympathise. Are you UK based (just a guess, based on weights used)?

In terms of training, plenty you can do without a gym, but like @simo74 said, it’s fine for walking to be all you do.

From my own experience: I got massively out of shape and weak when little man was in hospital, to the point where nearly 2 years after restarting the gym, I’m still not back where I was. I can honestly say I don’t regret it at all. I have never wished I’d spent more of that time in the gym. Just my 2c from an anonymous stranger online, your mileage may vary.

Thanks guys, @dagill2 I live in Australia

I think Gyms are closed in Australia for the next 6 months. I wont be posting very often but I will be dong cardio outside. I do have a home gym on order but I’m getting it delivered to my house once its completed which is meant to be April but with whats going on I’m not sure what is happening there.

Hey mate, how you doing? You still walking and getting some work in?

Hey I am yes I’m still around 107kgs, my diet has not been as great but i have no put on weight. I’ve been adjusting to having a new born. My house is packed to move as well we were meant to move a few weeks ago but things got delayed and I’ll be moving in two weeks now. I just spent 6k on a home gym so ill be able to work out again in a couple of weeks. I’ve just been walking a few days a week. How about yourself?

Still well thanks. I know what having a new born at home is like so you are doing really well to keep the weight steady and still get the walks in. I am lucky enough to have access to a full
home gym so have been training consistently all the way through.

Nice work I’m looking foward to having mine, i am a little worried
I’ll lack motivation after the few months lay off but I’ll have to make sure I dont get lazy

Don’t worry about motivation just start a simple routine. Go to the gym 2 or 3 days a week and do something. When you have done that for a month and it’s just normal again to go, then worry about a program to meet your goals.
Keep going for walks, maybe with wife and baby. You will soon get back into it. You didn’t come this far from being someone who slacks off.

Okay I’m back, I had to stop training for awhile for a few different reasons. My I’ve got my home gym up and running now and I’ve gotten back into it.
