My Training Log for the 2020 Transformation

The important thing is you have a plan and you be consistent. Sounds like you are a good place right now. Is the weight still dropping slowly ?

It’s coming down a little slower than I would like. My goal was to be at 100kgs by June 1st. I think I should hit that.

I wouldn’t worry about the speed as long as its still coming down. Remember as you continue to progress your training and get stronger you are likely building some muscle at the same time as losing some unwanted fat. This may mean the scale doesn’t move as fast or even at all.

Body transformations is such a mental roller coaster!

It is indeed. This is why it sometimes helps to have some other short term goals to aim for. Squat X weight for reps or aim for cardio for time or max push ups over 50. Pick a short term goal for each training block and focus on that. Keep the diet clean, don’t over eat and do your work. The transformation will happen.

We are our own worst critic. I’ve lost weight, wear a 33/34 waist. Sometimes a medium shirt. But when I look in the mirror, I often see a fat guy. I know I’m tripping, but again, we are our worst critic.

Just keep eating clean and doing what you do, you will achieve all that you want. It just takes time.

We sure are our own worst critic’s and I am a bit hard on myself at times.

As for goals I’ll shoot for a 110 bench by June and 120 squat and a 130 dead lift. I’ve never set lifting goals before so I don’t know if they are achievable or not, but I guess I’ll find out soon enough

I had a decent work out today, it was lower body and abs but I didn’t do the abs part. A couple of guys at the gym pointed at me while talking about “fatties comes in for the new year and out of the gym by march” they had a good laugh but i got a bit embarrassed and skipped abs as it was at the end of my leg work out.

Dead lift: 110kgs x 5 110kgs x 5 110kgs x 5
Rom. Dead lift 40kgs x 8 40 x 8 50 x 8 I didn’t really feel it until i upped the weight. But its the first time I’ve done it so stopped at 3 sets.
Seated Leg extentions: 47 x 12 49.5 x 10 51.2 x 10
Seated Leg Curls 65 x 10 75 x 10 75 x 10 75 x 10
Abs N/A

I don’t know what to say about this other than ’fk em’
You are working hard, have made great progress and should be bloody proud of yourself. At the rate you are improving if you keep working hard you will be a strong fker one day too.
Keep it up mate.

Just know that there are a silent majority of us rooting for the new guy who looks like he is coming in and being serious about changing himself. Stick to it, and that’s how you win.

The bench of 110 could be a challenge when you are also shedding weight, but that doesn’t mean it is impossible. The 120 and 130 on squat and deadline are something you ABSOLUTELY can do, so just get that into your thinking already now. With a bit of guidance, you could probably hit those numbers in just a few weeks, honestly.

Fuck em! Keep doing you thing and don’t let bell ends like this get to you.

You are doing great so far.

Update pictures, I can’t see any difference yet but I’ve dropped 5kgs

These two pics are world apart. Your bday shape is changing and you have deff lost fat in those two pics. I’d go as far as to say you may have dropped a little more than 5kg of far but you’ve added some muscle. Keep going mate and in 12 months you won’t know yourself.

Thanks my wife said the same things i can see my shoulders are slightly bigger but I just put it down to the camera positioning, We will see how how it goes in 12months I plan on taking a picture every month for 12 months

Yeah, clear diff in the fat around the mid section and legs. Plus, the first pic has a christmas tree and a dog, but now I’m just splitting hairs.

I can see I difference too.

Is that 5kg since xmas? If so that’s a nice steady loss, keep that rate of loss up until the end of the challenge and you will look completely different.

Yep since christmas, I was dropping weight a bit fast until then its slowed down a little in recent weeks. I am trying to keep calm!
My dog is a little too loyal she follows me every where. My wife an I are expecting our first child soon, I’ve got a feeling my dog might
trade me in for my child.
