its nto like his tatoo will wear off once they go out of bussiness.
the only thing he has to worry about is T-Nation turning gay.
if that happend, then he would have a gay simble on his arm.

Unless he is gay.

There are no stupid questions, just stupid people who say there are.

Just in case you werent joking… The tat will still mean EXACTLY the same thing it does now.
The principles and ideas the tat represents are not a supplement with an expiration date, they are not a URL, they are not a web forum. I dont intend to stop working out if T-Nation goes under, I dont intend to not live a good life if T-Nation goes under, I dont intend to lose mental and physical strength, lose honor and integrity, lose grit and determination if T-Nation goes under. I dont intend to stop being a man if T-Nation goes under.
These, at least for me and a few others on here, are represented by the Tribal T logo. Its a symbol for Testosterone and what it means to be male, to be better than average, to conquer and succeed. The logo simply provides a tidy little way to package it up into a picture, thats all. If the website goes away, the meaning of the logo will still remain. Not to mention some of us have been influenced by the website, and those influences will carry on in our lives even if the website loses its ability to do the same.
I think that tattoo sucks.

I think this symbol for testosterone would make a pretty cool tatoo.

Actually that would kind of be a funny idea and, at least to me, represent nearly the same type of ideals (ie. Masculinity), minus the community here.

I’ve always been a fan of the molecule with implied hydrogens. They make it look too cluttered to be aesthetically pleasing.
After the retarded shit posted in this thread (esp. by Varqanir) I don’t think I can post on these forums again and take myself seriously.

I love comments like this. Don’t give any reason, just state your opinion while insulting someone. All it does is make you look stupid.

Since tattoos of molecules always look cool…

Since we are looking at cool molecules, im a pre med student, my favorite besides test is the heme molecule
its a red blood cell if you are wondering
Oxygen binds to the iron in the middle
(carbon monoxide poisoning happens when instead of the oxygen, carbon binds to the iron, which fools the molecule)
sry i know this is a retarded post, but its my favorite molecule, had to share.

Having said that, the arm one is just not something I would do, and I think it is a bit distorted… maybe the angle, I can’t tell.
I don’t understand what the fuck is wrong with some of you people…
Yea, posting on the forums is cool, reading the articles and being educated about training philosophies and nutrition is cool… but, it’s the fucking lifestyle that makes you a much more bad ass mother fucker.
I’m 22 y.o. and I stumbled onto T-Nation a few years ago. The information I have learned from reading T-Nation has made me a better man without a doubt.
I am stronger, healthier, more mature(ha), and just live better day to day. Some of the TC articles have definitely hit deep into some core philosophies of mine as well.
I can walk into the gym and know without a doubt that I am one of the strongest people there, both physically and mentally. The training I have gone through has toughened me up. Things don’t bother me as much, and most of the time, not at all. I don’t need to read “don’t sweat the small stuff”(a novel).
If someone has lived the lifestyle and wants to paste a Testosterone Nation logo on them, more power to them.[/quote]
I definitely agree with this. Someone here said that I was wasn’t showing progress for my time. Well, one thing they have to understand is the circumstances and where I’ve started + goals. When I started reading T-Nation I was 15.
I was EXTREMELY skinny. I mean, EXTREMELY skinny. I used to get picked on and so forth. I now deadlift 540# last time I competed. Now, I know that is not the most anyone has ever done, by far, but let’s be real here… In any given gym around here, how many people can lift even 300# in any given lift whatsoever? The point is, I know that when I walk into the gym I am stronger than most everyone there.
I have also been in the Marine Corps. With all of the running and endurance training, for me to be able to powerlift is amazing. Now, I’m out, and my strength has gone up accordingly.
Frankly, while this is a site, I challenge anyone to find any other like it when it comes to knowledge & philosophy. I think with TCs articles and many others has helped to shape my opinion of what a true man really is. It’s called Testosterone Nation, because it’s a place where real MEN can get together.
Message board and site? Yes. A place where REAL MEN get together? I consider that worthy of calling a nation, Testosterone Nation, regardless of whether the site keeps going on or not.
The tattoo is something designed by people, just like the peace symbol and the yin-yang, and every other fucking thing people tattoo on their bodies. At least my tattoo has meaning. What does a picture of a barbed wire or something like that mean? Pretty much nothing. If you get it and it looks good, fine, but to the individual who says that a tattoo should have meaning, think about what you are saying.
I wonder what symbols you have tattooed on your own body? It has meaning because you make it have meaning (to you), just as you would not get another person’s father tattooed on your body, if you don’t consider yourself a part of the T-Nation lifestyle, then you wouldn’t like it on your body.
To the person who said that the tattoo is a little distorted. It actually isn’t distorted, my Iphone camera just REALLY sucks, and the light is hitting it wrong, plus my arm is bent. The tattoo IS what the symbol looks like, except it’s been shaded and made to be a little rough on the outsides and supposed to look etched in. I wish I had a picture of it better and closer up. I get a LOT of compliments on the quality of it regardless whether they know what it means or not (no one usually does).
And to the Marine… Oorah! Semper Fi, do or die!

No fucking difference. You’re proud of your nation, he’s proud of his.
This post REALLY pissed me the fuck off. How the fuck can you compare our nation(an actually country) to T-Nation (a fucking supplement company)?
Masonator, Masonator, Masonator. I am REALLY sorry that my post pissed you the fuck off. That was not my intention, and had I known that it would have that effect on you, I would have considered more carefully before posting.
Or maybe not. Because you know, Masonator, it REALLY doesn’t concern me in the least how you feel about what I think.
But if you REALLY want to know how I can compare the United States to T-Nation, the answer is… very easily. Let me explain.
First off, you imply that the United States is not a nation, but an “actually country.” Well, yes and no. On paper, at least, the United States is a nation. It says so right on our Pledge of Allegiance: “one Nation under God”.
And just think of how many times the word “national” (which means “of or relating to a nation”) appears in our parlance. We have National Parks, the National Guard, and the National Archives, which house our National Treasures. We have National Pride, National Security, and the National Debt. We have the National League, National Geographic, and the National Enquirer.
Hell, we’re even a member of the United Nations, and as far as I know, they only let nations in there.
But this of course begs the question. What is a nation?
A nation is a large group of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular country or territory. By that standard, Ireland is a nation, Slovakia is a nation, Lesotho is a nation, and Japan is a nation.
What about the United States? Are Americans united by common descent? Nope. We come from all over the globe. Common history? Not really. Some of us came over on the Mayflower four centuries ago. Some of us came over in a van from Juarez four weeks ago. Common culture? You gotta be kidding. Common language? In your dreams.
What we have here is a massive group of people united in the single belief that our way of life is in some way superior to the way of life of all the other poor schmucks who are unlucky enough not to have been born American.
America is a nation that people have chosen to belong to. They feel proud of themselves for having made the choice, hence “proud to be an American.”
Now, how is this any different from T-Nation? Our members are not united by common descent, we come from all over the globe. We aren’t united by common heritage or culture, if the Politics and World Issues forum is anything to judge by. And even though we all communicate in English (some more effectively than others), we are also speakers of French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Japanese, Indonesian, Australian, and many others.
What unites us is our shared belief that our way of life is superior. That it is better to be strong than to be weak. That self-improvement is better than self-destruction. That the pursuit of happiness is synonymous with the intelligent and relentless pursuit of muscle. The territory we occupy may not be as tangible as the piece of American dirt that your feet stand on, but it is no less real.
Sure, this T-Nation has at its heart a corporation. A corporation that produces and sells products that many of us use and depend on (you too, I see, and more than a little, if that “Level 4” by your name is anything to go by.) A corporation that also hires writers, scientists, trainers and athletes to provide its citizens with a wealth of extremely useful and FREE information, in order that we may more fully enjoy our chosen way of life.
And anyway, should having a corporation at the heart of a nation cheapen the nation, or the pride its citizens have in it? If General Motors, General Dynamics, General Electric, Time-Warner, Exxon and Wal-Mart pumping the blood through the veins of America doesn’t prevent you from being “proud to be an American,” then I think it’s pretty rich for you to imply that the existence of Biotest LLC at the heart of Testosterone Nation in any way cheapens our national pride.
So in closing, my dear Masonator, I do hope you’re not still as pissed the fuck off as before, and that you have begun to realize that some of us on this site estimate this T-Nation of ours a bit higher than “a fucking supplement company,” and are proud to be here.
If not, then there’s simply no hope for you.

Holy crap. That was a good post.

Yes, tattoos can.
