No I didn’t, how long time did it take for you to notice a change on it ?
It is something that changes slowly and you might not take notice. But my voice is deeper than pre TRT. I am soft spoken and with a deeper voice it may be harder for some to hear me.

I’d swear my voice has gone deeper.
I think i noticed the deepening of my voice pretty early or then it’s just some sort of placebo and that’s the voice i’ve always had. Hehe, there’s actually a lot of psychological issues steroids will bring up even in trt usage. That is mainly how human psychology works though rather than the substance itself. ![]()
I do not believe age has that much to do with the fact if the voice deepens with steroid ( trt meds are steroids so i just stick with that word ) or not. I don’t think there’s one answer for all cases in this regard either.
With my gym friend who has been using androgel for the past year, i haven’t witnessed any kind of change with his voice, atleast noticeable for me.
Other androgenic changes i have had are:
- pretty darn nice acne specially in my back.
- Redness of face
- Nice and funny looking hair growth from both sides of lats, have to shave them these days!
- Increase of sexual libido ( but varied increase, and decreased sexual potency but that’s another story ).
Well, I bet you guys never thought you’d hear from me again.
There’s a very dark end to this story.
In my first year of TRT I gained about 10 pounds of muscle and lost 10 pounds of fat.
In my second year I gained 1 pound of muscle.
In my third, one pound of muscle.
In my fourth… one pound of muscle.
In my fifth year I caught my wife cheating on me with a very big, jacked, muscled dude.
My response to this was to multiply my T dose by 10. Effectively, doing a cycle of steroids.
I resolved to do this for 3 months and lift harder than ever - get those last few pounds of muscle on my tiny body.
I immediately became ill with flu-like symptoms and was unable to lift for the first 2 weeks.
Then I got back in the gym and went at it, hard.
My face became red and puffy. My neck grew by at least an inch and a half.
I looked terrifying.
My personality changed, and people at work started to complain to the boss about my tendency to be rude, dismissive, condescending, and to say sexually-charged things for no reason at all.
My boss confronted me with a list of things people reported that I had said. I didn’t remember saying most of them, nor could I even imagine myself saying them.
I got fired.
I stopped Testosterone, cold.
The silver lining is, it’s now been a year and a half. I work out, I watch what I eat, and I think my body looks great, with room for improvement. I’ve been getting laid like a madman since I moved out. I’m dating a woman who is literally the hottest woman I’ve ever been with. It blows my fucking mind. I have a great time with my son, I love my new job, I love my new house. Maybe one day this woman will be my girlfriend and I can say I love her too.
I’m writing a book about the entire experience and I came back here to read what I’d written.
It’s been a wild ride.
Thought you guys deserved an update.
Don’t do steroids, kids.

“Don’t do steroids.”
Would you advise the same to someone who is low. Mine is 175
I believe he is talking supra-physiological doses of gear not TRT doses of testosterone.
I would read that book. Keep us updated. Maybe tell this story to Jay Campell. Try and get a reference from him.
What were your levels after quitting trt? did you fully recovered? If so, how long did it take?
He did not say that he quit TRT.
I did quit TRT. I have not checked my levels since.
I was not taking “gear”, I was taking Testosterone Cypionate and HCG.
I would not give TRT advice to anyone other than: find a reputable doctor with ethics,
not just any old doctor who will write the prescription you want.
I will tell you that my body looks better now than it did on Testosterone. I’ve been off for 2 years.
I broke up with that beautiful girl, got depressed and stopped eating - then one day realized I had abs. I worked on my diet and started bringing the workouts back into my routine. I’m freaking thrilled to look how I look now at 43, and it feels great to know I never really needed the Testosterone to get results.
Sometimes, I absolutely know that my T is higher than usual.
I feel horny to the point of distraction, and I feel like lifting heavy things.
I don’t have the belly fat, mind fog, all the symptoms I attributed to low T.
It feels great to be back to my normal, friendly self. I don’t need to be some kind of alpha male. I have nothing to prove. I’m seeing someone new, and I don’t know where things are going with that, but I’ll say she loves my attitude, and my body, and I feel good about myself.
Good luck, guys.

That’s an interesting story. I doubt your testosterone is higher than 5-6 years ago when you started trt. Maybe after the divorce you just have more time for yourself, yu’re more relaxed and the body got into the hunt mode.
