CG Bench 85kg 3x10
DB OHP 30kg 3x10
DB Flys 17.5kg 3x10
Dips BW 3x10

And the fun continues!! All Bench done with no handout apart from the 150kg, and even then I wish I hadnt bothered! Seen the guy around the gym before doing what looked like Powerlifting training so figured I’d be ok, I figured wrong.

The guy barely helped me out of the rack then just held the bar above me for a good 5+ seconds before I had to tell him to let go. Everything felt good on the way down, gave it a good pause, and exploded up as best I could. Bar started to slow mid lift, the guys hands shot for the bar… had to shout at him not to touch it, had a bit of a grind but finished the lift!

I think thats it for the fun this week, I dont fancy hitting a heavy beltless squat tomorrow, I’ll just do my volume stuff for the rest of the week, I’m happy with what I’ve done this week.

Went in and had another bit of fun today, going on holiday Sunday so thats training done until I’m back!

230kg Squat moved so fast, I’m confident I could of easily doubled it, was tempted to go to 240kg after but thought better of it.

Bench was feeling good, first time I’ve had 160kg in my hands and it didn’t feel as bad as I thought it would.

Having a rest now, may do some light accessory work while I’m away (hotel has a gym) but thats if I feel the need, otherwise its just a week off!

I’ve got a 3-4 week hypertrophy block planned for when I’m back, then after that it’ll be back to some strength work! Really looking forward to getting back to lifting heavy

Not feeling bad today, still a little tired from travelling home at stupid o’clock in the morning yesterday, and not being able to sleep, but thats all.

Bench felt pretty sloppy, but I guess thats what happens when you don’t bench for just over a week, I’ll be back in the groove next week I should think.

Had a great time on holiday, definately needed the break from work! I thought I’d eaten myself stupid while on vacation but the scales seem to say differently, woke at 96.5kg this morning so pretty much the same as when I left.

New diet is in place from today, going to be eating around 4,400 cals per day, breakdown is roughly:

P: 310g (roughly 1.5 x BW in lbs)
F: 100g (20%)
C: 570g (rest to fill)

Lets see where that gets me! :slightly_smiling_face:

Sorry for disappearing guys, I’m really struggling at the moment!

I started TRT around 18 months ago, and I’m having a lot of problems with my treatment. I’m currently on Nebido injections every 9 weeks which really aren’t working as I’d like.

When I first started on TRT I had a test level of 10.1, which left me feeling terrible, I had another blood test around 2 weeks ago on Injection day (so around my lowest point) and my test level was 8.7. The injections aren’t lasting as long as they’re supposed to, the lowest interval the NHS allow is 8 weeks which I’m sure won’t solve my issues. I’m getting maybe 4-5 good weeks from each injection, the other 3-4 weeks I feel like a zombie.

I’m trying to get an appointment with my Endo (next available is Nov 28th) to see if he’ll be willing to change me onto a compound that can be injected more frequently to keep my levels stable, although I’m not really expecting he will, NHS Drs seems to be stuck on Nebido so I’m also trying to find a good private consultant that can help.

I’m struggling to get myself to train at all tbh, I’m feeling pretty down in the dumps and have little drive to train. Work is also a real chore!

All in all I think I’ve trained 3 or 4 times since my holiday.

Hey dude been waiting to see a post. Hopefully you can get something worked out. Don’t let it stop you get in there and hit the accessories hard if the main lifts are not strong on the day. Hardest part is to get back on track. I did my meet two weeks ago and since then my squat and bench feel shitty.

Im aiming to get back in from tomorrow man, strength is still there on the squat and pull, bench has tanked a fair bit though.

Just hve to see where I am when I get back in.

Yea its crap, I’ve struggled through since my mid 20s.

At first having a level of 12.x was apparently acceptable, I had to go through 3 NHS consultants to get any help… after being told I was too young, or my levels were ‘in range’ I finally found a consultant who was willing to help, but the guidelines they have to follow aren’t very good, and Nebido seems to be the only thing they prescribe, after a lot of research it seems that a private consult is the only way to get what I want :confused: damned expensive though!

Did awesome at the meet weighed in 188.7 and totaled 1692 by 567/375/749 roughly. 8/9 passed on a third squat but think I could have went 590 ish. Next meet if I cut will unofficially beat coans tested record, looking for around the 800 mark

Little update:

Trained 3 times this week.

Monday was horrible and everything felt really heavy!! I did 3x3 beltless Squat with 180kg.

Tuesday I felt a lot better, Bench was 115kg 3x3 which felt fairly easy, then hit 140kg x6 with the Slingshot, followed by 160kg x1 with the Slingshot

Wednesday I hit a 250kg deadlift, quite grindy and slow but it went up.

Saw my GP this week, and after a long discussion hes agreed to prescribing me whatever is recommended from my private consultation in December, but has asked me to speak to my NHS Endo and try persuade him first, appointments on 28th of November so I’m in limbo until then, but atleast its a little good news.

Yea its around there, i think 247.5 is best comp pull, and 260 was best gym pull, but that was with the questionable plates at the old gym. Thats the most I’ve pulled on a DL bar with comp plates

Having a brilliant time of it lately, tried to train lst week and picked up a sickness bug that left me not eating for 3 days! But hey ho

Front Squat 107.5kg 3x6
RDL 160kg 3x8
45 deg Back Raise 3x10
Chins BW x8, 8, 8, 8
Single Arm Row Machine 40kg 3x8
Hammer Curls 15kg 3x10

Everything beltless, I’ve decided that I’m leaving my belt off for as long as possible from now on. I’m not looking at competing until next April so I’d rather get as strong as I can without it until I start to peak for the meet.

140kg moved really well, probably the best it ever has actually, so I’m feeling positive. Need to get back into my Bench groove after the long period of jerking around!

Using KB Swings to focus on getting my hips through with as much power as I can. My feet literally left the floor with every rep and my Glutes were on fire by the end of the 4th set
