My Quest for Speed!

welcome back to the mix!

Yesterday was cardio. I did a 90 minute stairmaster session. Added two sprint song during thr first 45 minutes. Just to piss my legs off. It did the job took the snap right out of them. The last half was a test of endurance, the last 15 was all about never giving up. We’re over 12 miles and 600+ floors, I’ll start to keep track of the stats this weekend.

I’m taking the day off to watch the opening ceremony. The speed skating starts tomorrow so my workouts will be scheduled around these awesome events. I hope you all enjoy the games I’m going to! Stay strong brothers!

Chest and back today. I really love doing push-ups off the medicine balls. The fact that one has to go quite slowly or fall on your face. The pump is of the scale, I have to stretch out my muscles after every set. Pull-ups and chin-ups have always been a favorite exercise of mine. I get a real charge out of feeling my muscles as they contract to pull my body up.

I am planning a cardio this afternoon. I’m going to shoot for 90 minutes but I won’t push it to hard. I really want two sessions a day for the next three days. So 60-90 minute cardios will just awesome.

Just watching the Olympic speed skating, simply mind blowing. The speeds these skaters achieve is so amazing.

Of course the weather has to be mild. The first time in ten or twelve years we have had such a mild winter. Thankfully skating is indoors so they will be sticking to their schedule. Which makes it easier to get my workouts in around them. Staying strong and getting very motivated.

Yesterdays cardio was only 60 minutes, things outside of my control. Gave it a good push and took it to level 16 (out of 20) with an average level of 12.3 (still keeping it easy). Did 8.91 miles climbing 427 floor with an average of 114 steps per minute, burning 952.5 calories. Couldn’t remember the other stats, I get better at recording them all right quick.

Double workout today. Explosive leg speed drills followed by a 60+ minute cardio. I need to get to the gym pretty early. Speed skating is on this afternoon, maybe a Gold medal. We almost had one yesterday but the USA had to go and ruin our party (congrats anyway). Really looking forward to the womens speed skating, if they do as good as the hockey team we’ll be singing songs tonight. Stay strong brothers.

My left outer knee started bothering me early this morning. I tried to stretch and walk it off with no luck. Is still did a easy cardio nothing special but it warmed my knee up and allowed me to stretch it out with greater ease. Got home and iced it and everything seems fine. Try again tomorrow with the leg exercise.
