My journey to health (PFS)

Hello everyone, bear with me. Long story. TRT stuff at the end.

So 8 years ago. I decided to take finasteride. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I had zero emotion, orgasms sucked, I got ball pain, no morning erections even the day after the first pill. I quit 3 weeks later.

10 days after quitting. I woke up with a raging erection and felt great. Back to my old self. I thought everything was done. Nope.

Next day I crashed and have been suffering ever since.

It has been 8 years now. I haven’t had sex with a woman in 8 damn years lol. My biggest problem is libido and sensitivity. My dick has lost almost all of its sensitivity. My erections are ok enough, with some assistance, to manage but the desire and feeling isn’t there so I haven’t tried. I was also in amazing shape before this whole debacle. Did half Ironmans and was a good distance runner. In the past 8 years the weight has just kept coming on no matter what I was doing it seemed. I have out on 80 pounds now since 2017.

In the early stages I sought out doctors. They put me on Test E, clomid, HCG. Nothing worked no matter the protocol. Even with my tests numbers in multiple different ranges…. Top of the range, above the range, way above the range. Nothing worked. I wasn’t really working with a great doctor and it was all making me feel worse. I quit.

I struggled through my job because it was the most important thing. It is a very hard job that requires lots of mental effort and intelligence. I managed to survive for quite some time.

Eventually though my concentration, memory, brain fog etc was too much and I had to get on something. I got on 300mg Wellbutrin XL and 5 mg escitalopram.

That really helped with the memory, brain fog, and concentration issues. I have been on that for 3 years now.

I went to another urologist who put me on testim. I was rocking that for a while and felt a bit better. Again, he didn’t really believe me though and didn’t really do what is necessary to help me get better other then write a script (Canadian Healthcare). I was on that for quite some time and felt a bit better. I decided to get off of it to see how that was. I also didn’t want to do the gel anymore cuz it is smelly and impractical. Injections are preferred for me.

After getting off of it, I actually felt even better tho. Still lots of issues but I’m curious if the year of testim gel changed something in my body to make me more sensitive to testosterone or something.

Now it is May. Another buddy who suffers with the condition from across the world messaged me and told me about cortex labs. I have watched quite a few of his videos. He seems like a very knowledgeable guy and says that people with these conditions often need time at very high levels to get better.

I have now been on 50 mg test prop daily IM, 500 iu HCG daily SubQ, 50 mg proviron daily, and 5 mg daily cialis.

I also still take my 300mg Wellbutrin XL and my 5 mg escitalopram to keep my brain sharp for my job.

This seems to be the best I have felt in a long time. I have been on it about 3 weeks now and I am noticing change. I just feel better and I’ve actually been hitting the gym for the first time in 8 years and it doesn’t suck. It used to suck big time. I am also doing intermittent fasting every day and watching what I eat extremely. No sugar. No alcohol. I think I am down about 5 pounds now but I just feel better.

I actually feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel here. Unfortunately I’ll have to take this stuff forever but I hope I can get my life back here.

That’s my story. I am not sure if I am allowed to mention sources or anything so I’ll keep that to myself for now unless someone tells me otherwise.

Ok so I’m looking for some guidance on this journey and some insight into my regimen.

Thanks

Also like to add. I felt terrible on test E possibly due to the longer ester. My blood pressure was sky high. My hematocrit as well and my estradiol. It was definitely not a good protocol.

I have had labs done many times before. Latest labs before the testim showed below range test and free test. My SHBG is always low.

Another thing common to people with PFS, like MS is low vitamin D. Mine was very low below the range when I first got it. Recently been taking 5000 iu vitamin D daily.

For others reading, PFS = Post finasteride syndrome.

I’ve been on my 50mg Test Prop Daily for 2 weeks now. Overall feel good mentally. Physically. It’s just my sexual sides I cannot seem to shake. With 5mg cialis daily and the testosterone, I can get decent erections…… it’s just the lack of sensitivity and difficulty orgasming that makes this difficult. I have almost no sensitivity. It’s hard to measure libido when you have that issue. I want to have sex but with that problem I hold back…. So that would obviously lower my libido.

Anyways that’s the update. There is no full proof way to regain penis sensitivity. I don’t know if the high level or androgens can repair any damage that has occurred to cause the problem. Just praying for a miracle at this point.
