Seated Close Grip Half Presses
Barx10
95x10
115x5
125x3,3 PR
NOTES: Sumo DL felt great. Got to use my belt! It rocks!! DB MP felt great and I hit a big PR. Shrugs were good as were the seated close grip presses, they didnt hit my triceps too hard though. May or may not use them again.

Nice job man! Looks like you’re off to a good start on this new routine.
Thanks dude! Yeah it felt good. Muscles felt strong throughout.

Nice change of training man, should be fun. Solid PR on sumo!
Yeah definitely. I think it will enable me to continue to get strong and smoke PRs all while not burning out between lacrosse and lifting. Thanks man, sumo felt really good today and didnt bother my groin at all. I think im switching over to the dark side for good (well maybe other than higher rep deadlift days which I’ll stick to conventional)
BB Row
Barx10
95x10
125x8
145x8 (s)
165x8 (s)
185x5 (s) PR
135x22 (s) PR
NOTES: Solid session. Pretty happy with the front squat PR. Pressing felt weak today. Curls felt good, the TUT sets sucked. BB rows were solid as well. 135 dropset sucked. Good session, shitty weather, packed gym and no vids. Haha.
Finisher Squats - 50 reps with 145
25 - first 20 were TUT, no lockout
15
10 - 5 TUT -rest for second- 5 TUT PR
NOTES: Fucking sick session. Great PRs on Squat and RDL. Stupid move on MP. Couldve easily had 125x5 if I hadnt done the 135. Great paused shrug PR. Skullcrushers both my elbows, gonna stick to other tricep exercises. Finisher set was awesome. Great PR and TUT was brutal! Awesome session overall!
NOTES: Sumo DL felt decent. Should only get better. Last 2 reps were questionable. Paused FS’s felt great. Incline DB also felt great, big PR there too. HS Row felt pretty good. Solid session overall. Next 2 DL sessions will be lower weight higher reps.

Glad to see that you’re still get loads of PRs :)
Thanks man. On a side note, whats your thoughts on those last two DL reps? I dont think i fully locked out either. The last one might have been close.
I need to focus on driving my hips through at the top. I have good bar speed going up, and then I dont “hump” the bar hard to lock it out. Need to really focus on that.

You were right about those last two reps being sketchy. You sorta hitched them up and sorta didn’t quite lock them out.
You definitely had no problem getting the bar up
One thing that has helped me start to hump the bar and use my glutes is the use of DB/KB swings. I usually do them during my warm up, in between stretching and in between my lighter DL sets. Focus in getting your hips to sort of snap forward and squeeze the hell out of glutes. I hope that makes some sense.
Ok, just wanted another opinion. I am not counting them as reps.
I am definitely going to look into DB/KB swings as DL warmups! Thanks man! And yes, that made perfect sense lol
EDIT: Also, from rewatching the video and thinking about the lift, I am focusing on locking out my knees instead of driving my hips through. Driving my hips through will subsequently lock out my knees.
NOTES: Real good session. Everything felt awesome. Two new lifts with seated BTN MP and RGBP. Felt great! Also used KB swings as a warmup, definitely a keeper!!
