Muslims and Koreans

They are not self-appointed intellectuals. They have earned the title by using their brains harder than others.
Hilarious attempt to re-characterize the problem. Hoe exactly does one “earn” the title? By endorsing left-wing politics?

Oh yes, no one is saying it isn’t widespread among Western “intellectuals” - precisely as I said, Islamists prey upon that stupidoty among the Western “intellectuals” to give them cover - a better question is, after hearing them, do they still deserve the title of “intellectual”?

Well, you should dig deeper - conservative criticism isn’t based on the same premises as you put forth: it doesn’t involve silly victimization, relativism, nor the US as inherently evil.

And looking into a Palestinian state is nothing new for politicians of both parties in the US.

Then explain it - if you have sufficient cause (in the case of Islamists, one is inherent), a catalyst is unnecessary. The cause operates on its own to produce action - because it calls for action.

Well, I didn’t see a need to correct you mangling of “progressivist” (see above), so don’t try and come off as smarter-than-thou on this typo.

Nope - read better. I said Western intellectuals buy into the theory hook-line-and-sinker, and Islamists have been riding it ever since.

Nonsense - I am well aware of causality, I just like the rational kind, and not the therapeutic kind.

I have discussed causality till I can’t do it anymore. Your causality is rife with holes - none that you fill when pressed upon with questions. Stop hiding behind “you just don’t get causality” - we have been there, and you failed to impress.

Actually, you were done long before that - but glad to see you realize it now.

O.k. …

Did you ever seriously read your posts?

When kindergarten children are violent, you blame it on TV programs they watch.

never really liked this kind of thought. it leads to censorship.

Show a picture of a church in Saudi Arabia, one that wasn’t burned to the ground, converted to a mosque or centuries old. Then I will believe you.

There are many Mosques in America, and very few were vandalized or burned to the ground, OR CONVERTED TO CHURCHES, for that matter.

Just like there are many Churches in Morroco, and very few were vandalized or burned to the ground, OR CONVERTED TO MOSQUES, for that matter.

Now how about you show me a picture of a Mosque in the Vatican? Well, didn’t think so…
Lixy,

Your agruments are weak, childish and ignorant. Quit apologizing for radical Islam. The absolute, unquestionable fact is that Western Judeo/Christian society accepts all other religions.

The same can not be said of Islamic nations. There is no “freedom of religion” or “freedom of expression” in Islam.

What’s new here is right-wingers calling for dealing with the conflict to curb terrorism. It’s a change of pace from the invade-and-create-havens-for-Al-Qaeda Bush strategy.

Progressist \Prog"ress*ist, n.
One who makes, or holds to, progress; a progressionist.

Just because I’m not fond of neologisms doesn’t make me illiterate.

With people like you around, Al-Qaeda saves a lot of money on PR.

PR: the one thing Muslims are lacking miserably.

We can only hope, I suppose.

The thing is, lixy doesen’t seem to know much about european academic institutions… especially in skandinavia, the intelligentsia is left-wing… BLOOD RED left wing… which ofcourse makes its impact on their “expertice”

I already presented several examples that prove this statement to be false. But I’d also like you to consider something else. You have the freedom to assemble and counter-protest the WBC. The article I posted referring to the candle-light vigils in Iran after 9/11 mentioned that police broke up some of the gatherings.

Now I know this will be used as another example to bash Islam but the social and political context of other countries aren’t the same as the US.

The article I posted referring to the candle-light vigils in Iran after 9/11 mentioned that police broke up some of the gatherings.

Just shows me in that point in time, the Iranian government was out of touch with it’s people.

I’m not sure about it being the one thing but it sure is hard to counter the Murdoch effect.

I’ve been to Saudi Arabia for Gulf War 1 and i’ve been to Baghdad, Iraq for Gulf War 2. Currently i am stationed in Turkey. I’m surrounded by muslims and have dealt with them for years.

there is a difference between most muslims in the US and those in Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, etc. Based upon my experience Muslims in the middle east have no concern for human life. They have nothing and they will never have anything because they can’t stop fighting…not just us, but themselves.

one of these days, hopefully sooner than later, we will stop making them rich by buying their oil. when they no longer are making billions and billions of dollars they will be nothing. if you have ever been to one of these countries, you’ll quickly realize that they are not peace loving people.

only 4 months left and i get out of Turkey and back in my own country.
Thank you for your dedication and service to our country!

Come home safe.
