Music You are Ashamed to Love.

I like the video more than the actual song, but it is pretty damn catchy. I also like how she says “toxic” to me it sounds like “I wanna suck your dick”…Kinda… Almost… I need help…[/quote]

Song #2

Keep in mind I rarely if ever listen to anything but Heavy Metal.

Get out da way- let Casper drive
Who’s that drivin’, Patrick Swayzie?

I’m blown away by the genius and creativity of these lyrics.

I concur, as a matter of fact driving home from work today I got rick roll’d by the radio… and I liked it.

Modern Talking - Brother Louie

Shut up, it’s a catchy tune!

Why on earth would you be ashamed to tapping your toes to Queen? At least it’s not Culture Club.

I’m sort of ashamed because this is considered old fogey stuff, but check out Barbara Streisand singing ‘Send in the Clowns’ on the Youtube linked below. It really gets to me.

First of all, the song itself is magnificent. It’s a pure classic about things not working out. And Streisand’s singing is out of this world. Now I know why people say she’s such a talent. I honestly get choked up when I listen to this. Yeah, I’ve had my share of lumps in the romance department.

I secretly enjoy Brittany Spears’ music, particularly the new stuff that everyone hates.

You want a piece of me

I just caught this one. Ya know what, those dorks were actually pretty decent musicians especially the bass player. I remember noting this about 25 years ago as I was ashamed that I was listening to a Duran Duran concert live on the radio in phoenix for reasons I can’t even recall right now. Not my kinda music, but I had to acknowledge that there was some passable musicianship goin on there.

Along those lines was Earth Wind and Fire. I cannot stomach disco, but that band was fully populated with first rate talent.

Kenny G, don’t laugh, monster sax player.

They have about 40 catchy tunes, but I didn’t want to admit that. Now that I did, I may as well post a couple more.

Cosmic girl:

For those of you who don’t even like their music, the whole clip is just a 3.5-minute picture of Jessica Alba.

Rouge et Noir:

My parents listen to it, so I have come to listen to it as well at times.

I listen to mostly Alice in Chains/Soundgarden type stuff, but I’m not ashamed to admit that The Scissor Sisters are quickly becoming one of my favourite groups. Catchy, fun stuff.

Yoko Ishida, the opening theme for the “Ah My Goddess” anime series. An Irish style folk song sung in Japanese if you can imagine that.

“Bigmouth Strikes Again” by The Smiths.

I’m not ashamed of that at all. The man is a musical genius…at least to some he is. There are enough artists being featured on his new album that is in production that even if all of America hates him, he will do pretty damn well across the rest of the globe.

Anytime a single artist can create an album like Thriller that is STILL selling copies 30 years later, you kind of just accept that he is one weird fucker…who has talent.

Have you ever paid attention to the lyrics ?

No need to be ashamed there. Solo Morrisey stuff is pretty shameful, but The Smiths are way cooler than that dinosaur Bob Seger…anyone that isn’t ashamed to like Old Time Rock and Roll…should be…and don’t get me started on The Strut.
