he is a world class professional athlete. he is ranked number 3 in the world behind arguably the 2 greatest players in the history of the sport. im guessing he knows what he is doing.

although maybe you could email him some of your superior knowledge and help bump him up to number 1?

Dude, please excuse if I sound like an a-hole, but you are aware that this is T-Nation, right? I don’t think any of us care about his tennis skills; we’re clowning the article, his title (‘Muscles Murray’), and his supposed 20" guns. Some of us are more creative in our fun-poking than others. Calm down, take a few deep breaths…

problem is I think some people on here don’t realise that there is a world outside of the gym. Yeah, you might just be poking fun of his “muscles murray” title, but stringer’s right, he’s number fucking 3 in the world of a very demanding sport. I’m sure his coaches know a darn site more than most of here about how to improve his tennis game and it’s unlikely to revolve around squats and deadlifts.

He is a boring bastard though!

I absolutely agree, I just don’t think that the ‘make up his mind’ comment was meant to be taken seriously. I hope not, anyways.

Hey Weighty1, is that you in your avatar?

I dunno if anyone has said, i couldn’t be bothered to read all 3 pages.
But me being english, most people i know can use imperial and metric.
I think it’s just you americans and mainland euro’s that can only use one.

People are dumb. [/quote]

the 6.5% seems more plausible

some of the pics I#ve seen on google show he is damn lean

Hah, breakin’ the stereotype… I’ve lived in Latin America for a while, so I can do celsius, kilos, kilometers, 24 hour time conversions in the blink of an eye

not sure why you are telling me to calm down. what in my post makes me seem in the slightest angry?

my point is some in this thread are inferring that he doesnt know what he is doing “bikram yoga lulz d00d needs skwats and milk yo!” or that his training is all over the place and he is clueless in comparison to those here.

of course the irony is that the majority in this thread are the ones exhibiting the ignorance. he is a phenomenal athlete who has achieved more in his athletic endeavours and professional career at the age of 22 than any person here making fun of him will if they live for 1000 years. the article clearly made an error regarding his arm size.

his physique is enabling him to reach for the pinnacle of his sport. some of the responses here are akin to saying that phil heath should practice his backhand and drop shot if he wants to win the mr O.

the newspaper is calling him muscular as he had a big reputation for being extremely gangly and thin a couple of years ago, and he has filled out to an extent which benefits his sport.

Boring, rude, sour, obnoxious, uncharismatic, ungrateful, unfriendly, unkind, ugly, unattractive.
Full of himself but obviously not full enough.
Just overall unlikable.

When I read an article about his muscles “bursting out of his shirt” I thought of T- Nation.

it’s a former version of me from about 5years ago. I look fook all like that now… unfortunately!

: D

I mean, c’mon, every single Scottish person I’ve met is friendly or at least charming just by speaking in their accent.
I love the Scottish accent and Andy Murry can’t even speak without sounding like he is being “bothered” to give an interview.

What a sour puss.

He comes across like a total Cinderella to me.
I blame his mother. You can see her smothering influence oozing out.
Mummy’s boy he is.
Shemales are not attractive to me. Usually means they are high maintenance - feel sorry for his wife but the money he earns will ensure she feels compensated for her baby sitting.

I think your definition of a shemale is different then mine…

Sorry, the vagueness of text only on the Internet makes misinterpretation all too easy. Yes, I realize that he is going for ‘tennis champ’, and not for ‘bodybuilder’, and apparently what he is doing is working for him. It doesn’t mean we have to like him and that we can’t poke silly fun of the article, though, the way I see it. On a separate note, he does look better in the bottom two photos that were posted.

roger federer just won wimbledon.

Cause its true.

I disagree. He has no physique. Tennis (like golf, darts, pool, curling and so forth) is a game reliant on skill more than anything. I do not see Tiger Woods as an athlete. He is very skilled in what he does, no doubt about it. However, this does not qualify him as an amazing athlete. Bikeram Yoga? I doubt that affects his tennis skills much.

You must also realize people are ridiculing more the article than the guy. This is a bodybuilding (and power lifting i guess) website. When an article calls this skinny tennis player jacked and says he is sporting 20 inch guns, when clearly he is not, it’s only normal that people of this site will make fun of it.

Whether he is ranked 1st, 3rd or last in tennis does not change the fact that he is a skinny son of a bitch.
Apples and Oranges.

You think serving a ball at 140mph i just down to skill? Or playing almost non-stop for 4hrs is “skillful”. Come on man, surely not? Yeah, elements of the game are very skillful, but the power they generate in their play and the physical fitness they show are both extremely athletic traits.

If it was just down to skill you’ get 5ft tennis champs, but you don’t cos they don’t have a phyiscal prowess of the bigger (taller) guys.

I think you’re doing tennis players a misjustice.

I agree

I like how the moderators edited it to negative 20 inch biceps.
