See…anyone that size or bigger can be arrested…and they are fine with that…which obviously means they can’t be very developed if they see him as some extreme above them.
the article did say that he was 6’5 and 275lbs… doesnt look like much in the picture but 6’5 275lbs is pretty big in person (especially to some tiny woman cop)

But yeah… he doesnt look huge muscularly… Maybe that cop lady thought steroids make 5’10 180lb guys turn into 6’5" 275lb guys lol
(that would be pretty sweet if they did though… I know I’d take some if that was the case)
Here’s the thing though…I’m 5’10 which is a 7 inch difference in height. If you take away 5-10lbs for every inch, that would put him much closer to where I was at only 205-210lbs. That means that someone built like KingBeef would be going to jail in that country in the same situation.

That’s fucking stupid.

Yeah I totally agree that its stupid. They’re definitely heading down a slippery slope if you’re going to allow police to arrest people solely based on the way they look.

Hell according to your math I could get arrested - which is just plain sad.

These are the two or three exceptions to the rule. There are about 17 000 cops in Sweden. 3 fucking idiots are to be expected. No one would bother a “holy shit” guy walking down the street in Stockholm. Acting like that isn’t the case, and that anyone bigger than Mr Trapplesauce over there would risk being arrested is what bothers me, since it simply isn’t true.

I live here and I’ve yet to see someone be bothered for being big. Bodybuilding shows, strongman competitions and powerlifting meets all go on without any cops ever “raiding” them. Being big and strong is accepted.

It’s not a problem. It might look like it is if you’ve read three articles saying that it happened. But it’s a drop in the ocean, which won’t deter me from swimming. Since it’s obviously ok to be as big as Samuelsson, I won’t worry.

Well, we can only hope that these so called isolated occurrences will embarrass them enough to not do it again…but if no one reprimands them, how the he’ll is that supposed to happen?

i HAVE ONLY BEEN mildly following these threads. Just out of curiosity, is there some sort of way in which this profiling is different than all other types, like the many kinds of profiling that happen all the time, or is just that these cases are relevan to a bb site.

It has a lot to do with the fact that it’s apparently legal to arrest someone for the way they look. That happens all the time?

It’s definitely worth thinking about, whatever you feel about drug use. I’m certainly not pro or against steroids, my attitude has always been that you can do whatever you want as long as no one else is hurt in the process (unlike drinking and driving). But, and I guess this is the thing that really made me pause,… what if you know,… I mean you 100% KNOW that someone has done something illegal (or course in this instance, I doubt the cops have degrees in pharmacology and are acting merely on stereotyped uninformed ‘knowledge’),… but you have absolutely no way of actually proving it other than somehow pressuring them to admit as much, but in the process essentially trample their rights to due process (the whole Superhero dilemma of not ‘sinking to their level’?), would you do it? Are you really making the world a better place, or are you just stepping one inch further away from democracy…

This is why cops have a bad name.

In my law class we studied one case where a guy was caught with a trunkful of cocaine. However, because the cops didn’t read the guy his rights before questioning him and searching the car, none of the clear evidence gathered by them was allowed to be used in court and the guy was released without so much as a slap on the hand.
