MSM Journalism, Now We Have Proof They Lie All the Time!

Hmm, let me think. Oh, I don’t give a damn!
Your slight is a badge of honor to me.
Meanwhile in Seattle, your Police Chief quit and the city counsel just voted to disband the police. Not 50%, not 10%, 100%.

You see what is happening to your city, don’t care and you accuse me of having a character flaw? #TRUMP2020

Didn’t vote to disband police. Large budget cuts everywhere in the city budget (including SPD) because of shortfall caused by covid, but the SPD cut was smaller than expected.

You consistently get facts wrong and only look for articles that fit your narrative. It’s why I only respond to 1/20 posts you aim at me (I should even less). It’s unproductive and a waste of time.

My bad, they voted to cut the police budget by a lot, forcing the resignation of the police chief.
Are you in favor of this?

You are welcome to block me… I do not care.

It was cut by $4M for this fiscal. That is 1% of their $400M budget.

This is why so many have a problem with your posts and style. You come on strong with bold statements that you support with links to articles you either didn’t read or didn’t understand, or simply bold statements that are easily verifiable as just plain wrong. This makes it impossible to engage with you in any type of meaningful conversation.

Pittsburgh.

Really quite tame compared to most cities, and comparatively little damage. Didn’t go on for days, sequestered to some very small areas, and typically reported on the local news by the cities chief of police.

I have family in Seattle. They’re not too concerned about it.

I’m not saying that some people aren’t concerned about it; I’m sure they are. But as we know, there’s two sides to everything.

Maybe there’s words/actions of Bernie’s that I’m unaware of (totally possible), but as a Native in S.D., I felt that Trump has disrespected Natives enough that his arrival bothered me more. The land is important to us but since Mt. Rushmore probably isn’t going anywhere, I’d choose a lot of other politicians (from both sides) to come before I chose Trump.

The likely reason they aren’t is because these are small incidents in isolated areas. They are bad, but still small in nature. I’ve given up telling folks on this forum that, because they will post riot video (of a city block or two) and then tell me that its spreading quickly!!!

I go into Seattle a handful of times per month for work/recreation/shopping and you would never know there was any unrest. My staff that lives in Cap Hill has the same gripes as usual (crazy homeless, drug addicts), but still love living there. But, according to folks that don’t live there its a dystopian hellscape of antifa and BLM rioters.

I think the issue most have is not about the size of the riots but the fact that the media allows them to hide behind the label of (mostly peaceful) anti-racist or BLM protesters. The fact that that the city officials lie about what is really going on. Although the Portland mayor is now being more honest. Wasn’t the narrative that once Trump pulled the Gestapo out that it would become peaceful? It seems to have become worse.

Then they’re incredibly shortsighted as people are now emboldened enough to try to burn precincts down with law enforcement inside. Now that even Wheeler is balking as this crap pours into residential. And if the scale shouldn’t concern neither should we be concerned with the rare racially motivated killing of black men by police. It’s about nil.

Can anyone imagine the changing of tunes had this been the Tea Party?

We don’t have to imagine. Remember how people reacted a few months ago when armed anti-lockdown protesters showed up at the capitol building of Michigan? And they only yelled a lot.

Im pretty sure the narrative was that DHS arriving inflamed the previously small, fairly non-violent riots and protests into large scale, very violent riots. Once DHS pulled out it has ABSOLUTELY gotten better in terms of both the size, and the amount of violence. It definitely hasnt stopped the nightly riots or the violent actions of some of the rioters, but its basically back at the level it was prior to DHS arriving.

It does seem odd that the MSM still counts the rioters as fighting for racial justice. Im not sure any significant amount of the population actually believes that anymore. It seems pretty obvious that its just angsty antifa and hooligans taking the opportunity to take cheap shots at the man, the system, and cops.

The mayor says that protesters are trying to commit murder. If things now are as they were before, that means the previously “fairly non violent” protests also involved attempted murder.

Maybe that’s why the feds stepped in.

Personally, i dont really buy that the officers were in any real danger with fire, or that the rioters were actually trying to burn officers alive. Knowing how those building are, there is next to 0% chance any officer gets even moderately hurt from an external fire (or even internal, frankly). And there are countless other more efficient, easy ways to kill cops than trying to burn the concrete bunker with redundant fire suppression systems and tunnel exists that they reside in. The rioters are trying to terrorize the cops “the way that cops have terrorized communities for decades”.

Fairly morbid thought- but what happens if a cop in PDX gets killed by the rioters? Do you think that the rioting stops as folks realize what they have done, and its not just “fun and games” anymore? Do you think that public sentiment swings hard and fast against the rioters, along with a HARSH crackdown by the cops? Or do you think that nothing really changes and it might even invigorate the rioters?

You do know they are scumbags who dehumanize cops and anyone else who doesn’t agree with them?

I’m sure those white people have known that terror. If we even believe that terror ever existed.

I think they would be happy and believe that he got what he deserved. If someone asked, “what about his kids?” I’m sure the response would be, “fuck his kids.”

Yes.

Yes. We have seen this before in other countries. Americans did not invent middle class Marxism. Che was not working class or poor and he was a bloodthirsty racist. He’s one of their idols.

Yes, I made a mistake. I was referring to an old article from NY Post and conflated it with a newer story, so sue me. Or cancel me. Suing me would be pointless.

However, this is just the first step. As The good counsel woman states:
“Council President Lorena González called Monday’s vote a “down-payment for future potential reductions” to the department’s budget.”

And this will cost the department 70-100 policemen, in an already understaffed city. And pay cuts for those who remain. How many cop you think are going to stay?
How is that going to help the city in the face of spiking crime and “protests”.

Okay, then don’t tell me that facts matter to you when you are being this disingenuous.
They barricaded the doors from the outside so nobody could escape and tried to set fire to the building, knowing they are inside. Role the film…

BLM PROTESTER TO PORTLAND COP: “I hope someone kills your whole fucken family”

I suppose you know the “nice” rioters, who don’t really mean anything by it.

@Californiagrown

Since LEOs of all stripes, are the officials that society tasks with physically maintaining public tranquility/order - where do you as a far left person think that assaulting them crosses a line?

I am not equating you with the sociopath who just wants to take a swing at the arresting officer. But you are excusing flagrant attacks on society’s front line agents of maintaining a societal wide order.

I would guess that if you were biking and someone deliberately ran you into a parked car and rolled over the bike, you would want these same LEOs to assist you to get recompense. Or if someone just decked you coming out of a store for your wallet. Or…

I don’t get your standing up for flagrant violence, and your answers seem too long for merely polishing up trolling skills.

Where am i standing up for rioters? Ill save you the time searching… Im not, and never have. And my goodness you are lost in the sauce if you think i am far-left haha.

I think that assaulting an LEO not out of pure self defense is crossing a line. Any more questions?
