Any recent experiences on the waiting time for an MRI scan on the pituitary following GP referral?
Like how long to get results? Or how long until you are able to get an MRI?

How long to get the actual scan.
Contemplating paying private if its going to be 6 months plus.
I scheduled an appointment and already had blood work that I did in my own showing very high prolactin so when I went to my appointment the next week I immediately had it done. Granted NYC may be different from the rest of the world so it’s likely not much help for you.
Same here in NYC, I got my first scan within a few days I’d say at NYU. Now I just have them scheduled annually.
Why a mri every year?
Diagnosed with a pituitary adenoma - it was every 6 months at the start, but it hasn’t grown or anything so now I just have to have it done annual. I wouldn’t mind it at all if it weren’t for that damn contrast injection
