Moving North of Vag

I got to sneak an extra work out in yesterday because my beautiful Bride wanted to get in some cardio. So I put on my tank top and did pull ups and super setted with curls. It was a total ego work out that was totally useless but felt really good…lol

Seriously can’t remember the last time I wore a tank top to the gym…haha

Looks like the strength is starting to come back. The sldl couple of days ago looked pretty heavy, too.

lol, just the warm up was SLDL, the work sets were conventional deads. Still working on form and getting healthier but I do feel allot better. Hopefully soon I can start pushing these weights up again…

The 5x10 after the working sets is tough. Kicks my ass every time. Your bench and deadlifting numbers are moving in the right direction.

Ya Guyess I just newed to be pateint with it. Jacked my back up Sunday and was off Mon & Tues to heal. Went in today and did squats.

New to your post. Noticed your numbers are pretty similar to mine. To save me searching through your whole log can you tell me your age and bw. Do you intentionally not “rep to failure” on your last set of squats and deads?

I’m 47 and weight 250, I have been battling some injuries so I have been happy just to get the work sets and not pushing it to much. My whole focus was to drop weight, get form back, and to get injury free before I start pushing up the poundages again.

Smart training Colin, and I love your workouts, to the point, nuttin’ fancy, just kick ass lifting.

Welcome back newly wed. You’re suppose to be worn out, not doing great benches.

Congrats!

I bet the worn out part came after the great bench.

Congrats

Thanks DZ I find that 5x10 at the end is allot harder than the work sets. Builds mental toughness…

Agree with this. Some days I try to convince myself that just accessories will be fine, then I cowboy up and bang them out.

You’re getting married in a squat rack? Oh my. Stuff of my dreams. I wish you the very best.

Nice squats, BTW.[/quote]

Let’s hope the priest/spotter doesn’t end with “You may now curl the bride.”

Colin, belated congrats on the wedding. Awesome idea of getting married in the squat rack. Hopefully the day ended with 3 white lights.

Yes, congratulation. And many happy years.

Thanks Everyone. It was a very fun day and the ceremony was everything we wanted it to be. People ate, trained, and laughed with us.

Anyway Today was Squat day and I forgot to look up my cycle and weights so I just did a bunch of squats for 45 minutes.
