Incredibly well acted and captivating for a story based around the real estate business. Spacey was good as always and Pacino was possibly the best he ever was.
amazing performances in that movie. the famous Baldwin speech could make a grown man cry with emasculation.
This week i saw The King of Kong. It’s a documentary about the best Donkey Kong players in the world. Sounds lame, but the main characters are awesome in a David Brent kind of way. Some good sound bites.

I saw this last year and thought it was really good. Plus, I was a serious video game player in the 80’s and my buddy was excellent at DK.
I watch about 30 movies in a month at least, so I won’t post them all, I never do. I know you think you are the king Vader, but if you want to go, movie for movie, toe to toe… let me know. Bring it.
I post about the ones I feel are worth it.
The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill- I enjoyed this movie a lot. Of course, I grew up in San Francisco, so I think I had much more love for the thing as a whole, but it was great. It had wildlife and people caring for them, and death as it occurs in nature… naturally. It was human and animal together, and it made me see there is little separating the two.
That’s the only one I Loved this week.
I’ll get back to you when there is something else actually worth a mention.
Saw a lot of movies this week. I watched all The Fast & The Furious movies because I was in a car mood. The first two were pretty entertaining, and Tokyo Drift sucked for the most part. Took the whole movie for one muscle car to finally come in. It’s a sad truth that those McDicks Happy Meal cars really caught on though.
Yesterday, I watched Batman, Batman Begins and The Dark Night. Batman Begins was awesome in my opinion, though it seems like a lot of people forgot about it after Dark Night came out. I really enjoyed the mood in that movie, and I think Begins and Dark Night are my two favourite Batman movies.
Last night, I was going to go to bed at 10:30 (on a saturday, lame) but then I saw Death Proof on TMNHD so I just had to watch it. It was lame as hell, and I loved it. The dialogue though often stupid as hell was pretty entertaining and fuck me there were some nice automobiles in that film.
Mustangs, Chargers… What more could a muscle car fan ask for? The death scenes were funny as shit, and though I never usually laugh at them I just couldn’t help it this time. Kurt Russel was funny as hell as well, awesome job. Lastly, I now have a crush on Zoe Bell… Because she’s fuckin awesome.
Watchmen- Didn’t really care for it. I never heard of the comics before the movie, so that might have had something to do with it. Movie was ok in parts, but not something I’d ever watch again
Feast III - Whoever made it possible for a movie like this to be made should be brought up on charges…for like rape or something. There was no point to anything going on in the movie and I am disappointed that “Cole” from Martin (aka Cockroach from the Cosby Show) is so hard up for cash that he signed up to be in this piece of crap only to be molested by a poorly designed alien (through the back door no less) until he instantly had a full grown alien baby who gigantic prosthetic balls that hit the camera on the way out.
.45 - Milla Jovavich is hot, and she’s naked and getting fucked for a very good portion of this movie. The plot was like a fucking Lifetime original, but the dialogue and acting were very good. B-
Zack and Miri Make a Porno - This movie also had a bullshit plotline typical of most movies like it, but it did have it’s funny moments. Duane from The Office and Justin Long were the highlights of the movie. The “Dutch Rudder” scene and the Indian store owner were also particularly funny. Seth Rogan fucking sucks. He’s not funny at all. He thinks profanity and vulgarity are the keys to comedy, and he’s totally fucking wrong most of the time. Just because you used “cunt” or “fucking pussy” in a line doesn’t mean the line was funny. C
JCVD - This was good. I was a little disappointed because it has been so hyped up to me, but still, it’s actually a good Jean-Claude Van Damme movie. Easily his best acting performance. I know that’s not necessarily saying much, but still.
Sex Drive - I liked this. I thought the characters were likable and the writing was better than expected for a movie like this. Seth Green’s cameo was pretty great. I also liked James Marsden in this, who I normally think is a bore.
The Haunting of Molly Hartley - A thriller for tweens. You know going in that it’s not going to be scary since it’s only rated PG-13. The end was okay. I thought it sucked otherwise.
Australia - Hated this. Just didn’t get it at all. Nicole Kidman was terrible. I’m still trying to figure out if the first half of this movie they were going for campy. There were scenes where people were running along side of a moving truck and just casually having a conversation. Not breathing heavy or anything. Was the truck only going 5 miles an hour? Was it necessary to have a slow motion scene of Hugh Jackman washing soap off his body? It’s waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long. Great scenery and the movie looked good. I’ll give it that.
In the Electric Mist - Really good cast, but the movie was just okay. Didn’t really feel like they were doing anything all that new here. Felt like it just kind of plodded along.
Red Mist - Shitty, straight-to-DVD thriller. I’m only mentioning it because I wanted to include everything I watched.
Watchmen - I’ve posted about this in other threads, but I loved this. I decided I’m not watching it again until the DVD comes out because I want to see the director’s cut next time.
Nobel Son - This was okay. Also had a good cast, but felt like they were trying to get too cute with all the twists in the movie.
Role Models - I really liked this as well, but I’m a big Paul Rudd fan. It’s not breaking any new ground here, but I thought there was some pretty funny dialog and it made me laugh.
Transporter 3 - I give Jason Statham a hard time for doing too many movies involving car chases, but this movie is one of the reasons why. I just thought this was awful. It actually felt slow and drawn out to me and would have been better served by having a few more fights or chases in it. The chick he was transporting was really annoying, too. She did have nice legs though.
Frozen River - Good movie and well acted. I like movies like this with flawed characters that you don’t necessarily like, but end up rooting for and wanting to see how things turn out. The movie is kind of depressing, but still found myself really involved in it.
The Deal - Stars William H. Macy and Meg Ryan, but I didn’t really care for it. Just thought it was kind of pointless.
Stripper Academy - Waste of time movie that ends up being tragic because of the bad boob jobs and bad nudity you have to endure. They also trick you by putting those Juggy Girl twins from The Man Show on the cover and they aren’t even naked in the movie.
Flash of Genius - I liked this. It’s a little long, but I always like the David vs. Goliath-type movies. I thought Greg Kinnear was good in this.

It was overhyped. The girl wasn’t that fine, not enough to be the leading lady in this movie. She looked like a teenager and her acting was irritating.
This was the worst Transporter movie of all of them.

I saw this movie on the Scifi channel. I know most Scifi channel movies suck, but this had to be the worst thing I have ever seen.
Alien vs Hunter.
A rip off of AVP which looked like it was shot in someone’s backyard with a handheld shaky super 8 camera.
SciFi movies are AWESOME.
Hear their changing the name of the Sci-Fi Channel to…"the Scyfy Channel !! ?? !! ??
