Don’t you think that him “falling in love” was pretty integral to how the rest of the movie played out? I don’t think he made any stupid mistakes, if anything, he was willing to sacrifice himself for her. Which ended up being beneficial. Right?
Yeah, but by him falling in love and that being integral to the movie it made it a been there done that formulaic movie. I thought DiCaprio’s character was unbelievable in that from the beginning he was portrayed as a top rate field agent, which to me means he’s a cold-hearted killer, but he’s constantly whining about people getting killed and then falling in love with the first piece of ass he stumbles across…
that’s the other thing, as a top rate field agent I’m expecting him to be a little more pragmatic in dealing with women…and it’s not like the woman in question wasn’t beautiful, but I never felt like she exhibited anything that would make him fall for her that hard…kinda like the guys posting in SAMA saying, “Oh I loves her we just met last week and she hasn’t called me after 20 texts, what shud I does?”
Sorry for the rant…agree to disagree…isn’t anyone going to admit they’re jealous I’m going to see Watchmen before everyone else???
Alright, I can understand what you are saying and after giving it some thought, I agree with you and AngryVader. DiCaprio is a p*ssy!

Clive Barker is fucking insane. Get the unrated version…if you don’t have a weak stomach.
We must be on the same movie watching schedule this past week. I watched that Sunday morning, just haven’t bothered to post about it.
Nice and gory, but I didn’t care for the story much. My other issue with it was the use of computer generated blood in some of the scenes. It just doesn’t look right yet.
I watched Feast III last night and that also had the same problem.
Dude, I thought the blood was hilarious. I am sure they did that on purpose. I don’t know which version you saw, but the unrated contains all cut out gore scenes…and they really pushed it in some.
Where else have you seen someone get smashed in the back of the head…as one eye pops out…as the camera does a 360 degree swivel…with blood flying in all direction like fireworks?
That scene was hilarious!
Don’t get me wrong, I understand that a scene like that has to be done with CG, but I just still prefer the look of fake blood, even when they use a terrible looking prop for the shot.
SPOILER ALERTS!!!******
Like when he’s pulling the teeth and fingernails off that one victim, that was much more cringe inducing. I could see some people getting sick from watching that scene.
I also loved the point-of-view shot of that chick getting her head knocked off.
OK, I watched the director’s commentary, and apparently they had trouble even getting this movie released because no corp execs would promote the movie correctly. They were forced to cut out the majority of the gore scenes so that they could get a lighter rating even though it still ended up with an “R”.
Hollywood hated this movie.
I think that makes me like it more.

Not a chance.
I’m actually worried I won’t get to watch the whole thing as I’ve heard it’s like 2 and a half hours and it doesn’t start until 7:30 and She Say is not really a ‘comic book’ fan type gal.

We were just pulling your chain, it’s actually our favorite movie…sucker !!

Did you watch the special feature “Anatomy of a Murder Scene”? I thought that was pretty cool. I watched that and “Mahogany’s Tale”.

No, not yet. I’ll look at that tonight if I have the time.

Damnit, that sh*t always happens to me. I hate peer pressure.
“Come on Dre, just put the tip in, everyone is doing goats these days…”
Taken - I enjoyed watching Liam Neeson completely fuck people up. It is very entertaining. The movie as a whole gets a C though. Very predictable, very unrealistic, and the daughter is so fucking annoying you almost hope she’s going to be getting gangraped by 30 guys when he finally finds her. It is very much like an Arnold movie in that you know while you’re watching it that it’s a terrible movie, but the action is so entertaining that you could probably watch it again.
Pride and Glory - Fell asleep multiple times while trying to watch this. Caught the gist of it though, and I deem it “not worth the effort of rewatching.” It’s like they tried to make The Shield into a shitty, confusing movie in NY instead of LA and starring the ultra-queer Colin Farrell instead of Vic Fucking Mackey.
The Wrestler- don’t see what the hype is all about.

Max Payne - Turd sandwich.
Sex Drive - Marginal at best.
Quarantine-- For some reason, I had an hour-long anxiety attack during this movie. This has never happened to me before, as I am an incredibly composed person. I wasn’t freaking out or anything, but there was a definite adrenaline response and I was really physically uncomfortable. Don’t ask me why.
Movie sucked, though.
I watched Carrie directly after. Weird fucking movie. Some nice tits.

God bless Netflix and the xbox 360’s capability of streaming it.
Watched:
Resident Evil: Degeneration. It was okay, only would suggest it if you like the franchise.
Tales From the Crypt: Demon Knight. Had a throw back to middle school, still as awesome as it was back then, lol.
Netflix scares me. I barely leave the house as it is.
I watched Definitely, Maybe for the second time.
Not only is it the best romcom chickshitflick I’ve yet seen, it’s got Isla Fisher in it. And she’s even hotter with an American accent.
Watched Slither for the umpteenth time as well. It remains one of my favorite films.
Made it halfway through Noise, then lost interest. I still like Tim Robbins, however. But it was just boring.
Vic, between our discussion of Angel and your appreciation of Slither, you have gained my complete and utter respect.
And Ryan Reynolds is the balls, so I’m going to have to go check out Definitely Maybe.
Likewise. No one I know appreciates the magic that is Slither. Bill Pardy FTW.
Watched Mongol last weekend. Kinda slow, but between the super spearing and the swordsmen on horses, I made it through.
Beautiful scenery, so it probably would have been better on the big screen.
Tonight it’s Pineapple Express. Finally.

hilarious movie. I don’t get the people that didn’t like it.
Quarantine- I really enjoyed this movie. Some good suspense
Vanilla Sky.
I love this movie, have since I the day I saw it in theaters, most people find it either just decent or hate it.
Remember when you could watch Tom Cruise in a movie and not wanna slap in the face? I hope things are going back that way after his turn in Tropic Thunder.

I didn’t know that there was a movie-adaption of that one…
I wish they would make a “Clive Barker’s Undying” movie-adaption (from the computer game, don’t know if he has a book out).
That was, back in the day, a pretty good horror game imo… Ah, the old unreal(1)-engine times…
Midnight Meat Train was good, it somehow was available the same day on DVD, for free on demand on Fear.net, and in theaters, and had its release delayed like 3 times.
I like Bradley Cooper, and the girl in it, the name escapes me, but she’s Ricky Bobby’s wife in The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and is also the reporter that RDJ bangs in Iron Man, so I’m a fan of her as well.
Definitely worth a viewing .
