Just watched M. Night Shamalyn’s The Happening last night.
Shitty plot, lousy acting, and an even worse ending.
It would have been better to flush my $5.00 down the toilet than pay to rent that over-hyped flick.
I should have learned my lesson after Lady in the Water.
I’m at the point where I want to watch The Happening just to see how bad it really is. I’ve yet to hear a single person say they liked it. I have to see a movie that bad. It’s my weakness.
Doesn’t really counts as a movie but a new dvd is the new Dream Theater CD/DVD Box set Chaos in Motion, freakin awesome!

Shit! I forgot all about that! I need to pick it up tomorrow.
(Currently watching G3 Live in Tokyo. Billy Sheehan = God)
I watched about half of 30 days of Night before I had to turn it off. What a piece of shit that was. I’ve made it though some pretty awful b-movies in my day that were far more entertaining than this steamy heap of shit cinema.
This was a good film about two young boys, one a neglected bully…and another who is shielded from life by a staunchly religious family. The two end up befriending one another and making a film inspired by Rambo:First Blood. It is set in 1980’s England…which adds a bit to strange interest. I recommend this movie, you’ll smile no matter what. Great acting and a pretty unique plot to boot.
Pulse 2 - The first one wasn’t any good either, but this one was truly unwatchable. I watched most of the movie at 2x speed just so I could get through it.
The Wire: Season 5 - I’m finally done! What a great show. It didn’t end the way I was expecting, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t satisfying.
Okay, I powered through a few movies this weekend:
Virgin Territory - It sucked, but had lots of tits in it. Hayden Christensen plays a mute for part of this movie, which isn’t exactly helping his cause as an actor.
The only redeeming part of the movie for him is that he gets to sword fight a few times in it, so it let’s him show off some of his old Jedi skills.
Finding Amanda - I actually thought this was funny. This one surprised me. Stars Matthew Broderick and Brittany Snow. If you’re a fan of either, I recommend picking it up.
Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead - Sucked hard! Really disappointing. I don’t like it when horror/thrillers are pointless and could have been over like in the first 15 minutes of the movie if any of the characters had half a brain.
The whole premise of the movie is that they piss of Rusty Nail by stealing his car. Well, um, duh. Don’t steal the car next time. The end.
Feast II: Sloppy Seconds - Terrible and hysterical at the same time. Watch with friends and lots of booze and you’ll have a good time. There are some great cheesy and campy moments to this film. Unfortunately, the moments in-between those scenes are awful to watch. That’s why I recommend drinking and friends.
Kabluey - A few funny moments, but just kind of blah and boring overall. I recommend skipping this one.
I’m watching Savage Grace right now, which is boring the hell out of me. I’ll post more once I’m done with it.
Dark Knight at the Imax. Thirty minutes of the movie was filmed with Imax cameras. It was wick! The Imax experience is an experience, the sensation of moving is amazingly strong. Soaring into the sky scrappers at the start of the movie felt just like that “soaring”.
Now I have to go and see all the other Imax films. I’m hooked on Imax!

Not bad. Creepy.
WHAT?!
I really liked 30 Days of Night :)
You guys are crazy. Did I not watch it long enough to see some amazing female vampire on vampire action or something?
I am kind of a vampire snob though. Anything that strays too much from Rice’s story lines tends to annoy me, like random killings for the sake of killing and not to feed.
Speaking of blood suckers, True Blood has had two kind of slow episodes in a row now. I want to see Bill beat some ass already.
The Machine Girl - Someone mentioned this before and I had to check it out. Live action anime. Crazy good fun.
