No one has mentioned F-9/11 yet.
Swordfish and The Family Guy
1- Full Metal Jacket- " Is that you, John Wayne, is this me? Who said that, who the f*** said that!?"
2- Pale Rider- Just for the awesome scene where Clint Eastwood beats the sh*t out of those guys with that axe handle.
3- Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back- for the song at the beginning, Jay’s Rap.

As much as it pains me, I have to agree with Zeb on one I left out… Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. I almost cried at the end.
Also gotta go with Glengarry Glen Ross, Alec Baldwin was ruthless. What about Glory, it had a pretty powerful ending.
And, I will get the whole “sqeal like a pig” comments for this one, but Deliverance… Burt Reynolds was the man in that flick! Oh, and Alive another great true story survival flick.
In addition to everyone elses, I have one to add:
Easy Rider: Jack Nicholson is awesome. “First one of the morning, boys!”
Also, Super Troopers is the funniest movie of all time, hands down. “Lisence and registration, Chicken Fucker!”
The Edge with Hopkins and Baldwin. Very underrated movie I think. And Hopkins’ character was definately a T-man.

Event Horizon
Damn, Prof, I wasn’t aware anyone else even remembered Event Horizon! One of the first DVDs I ever purchased, and still one I like to pull out to scare the crap out of unsuspecting guests.[/quote]
I’ve seen that one movie so many times that I can probably quote entire scenes and I still haven’t gotten tired of it.
Clockwork Orange
Pulp Fiction
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
One Flew Over the Cukoo’s Nest
Life of Brian
Friday the 13th
well
scareface
blow
braveheart
lost boys
cannon the baribain
what do you think about those movies
Animal House - so many things to like about that movie!
I also like the Trinity Brothers - Bud Spencer and Terence Hill. Could watch their movies all day - love the way that Bud Spencer punches with an overhand fist.
Most of John Wayne’s movies - some of his best McClinktock, The Quiet Man, Big Jake, Chisum, Rio Lobo, Rio Bravo etc etc. Got them all on DVD ![]()
Rush is a good one,and so is internal affairs.
Lethal Weapon 1
Snatch- Brad Pitt is simply brilliant as the Irish/Gypsie bare knuckle boxer.
Things to do in Denver when you’re dead.
Seven
Usual Suspects
Just a few.
2001 A Space Odyssey. An artistic masterpiece. Beautiful visuals, soaring orchestral music. Best seen with ‘just a teenie bit’ of mind-altering substances.
Pumping Iron. ‘Arnold’s got spaghetti arms, Louie’, and other great lines.
The Lord of the Rings. Peter Jackson is a genius, turning one of the best books ever into one of the best movie trilogies ever. That is rarely done.
Reservoir Dogs, and Pulp Fiction. Shame Tarantino has fell off since.
Videodrome, if anyone has ever seen it, a bizarre David Cronenburg movie.
Once Were Warriors. Gritty and shocking.
Casablanca. ‘I came to Casablanca for the waters.’ ‘What waters, Rick? We’re in a desert’. ‘I was misinformed.’

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Big Labowski
Jackass
Predator
Batman
Conan the Barbarian
Dune
Fletch
How about Way of the Gun, great quote, “Shut that cunt up before I fuck start her head”.
Or Army of Darkness, " First you want to kill me, now you want to kiss me…BLOW"

Good call Zap.
Deanosumo, We Were Warriors Once… an awesome movie. Hard to find in the video stores though!
An awesome Native American movie, I loved since I was a kid, Wind Walker with Trevor Howard. A great look at the Cheyenne and Crow cultures before the arrival of the white man.
Lots of great ones mentioned already -
surprised not to have seen the following included yet:
-
American Psycho
-
Field of Dreams
-
The Hollywood Knights
