“Bright Lights, Big City” For some reason, I really, really liked that movie. It’s not one that I normally would have on the surface.
His speech when he’s in his apartment lamenting about his girlfriend and says “Dust is __% skin, that’s why I miss her because her skin is still here…”
I think about that every time I clean my house.

Ha! I thought I was the only one in the world who did that…

Yeah, it’s one big affectionate cinematio hug of Star Trek, the fans and the convention industry behind cult series. Classically trained actor Alan Rickman plays and parodies a character who hates having to lower himself to TV sci-fi because he’s classically trained. And it’s not even a TV series.

Though I’ve only watched the whole thing twice…I’ve watched the first hour on cable about 15 times. I love that first hour.
Saw Armageddon at a drive in, in the back of a pickup eating fried chicken & whippin the bones to raccoons. That movie made the girl I was with start her period, was like “dammit! Armageddon!”

I was joking about the Indiana Jones movie. I only used that title to segue into the cheating story! LOL
The film she wanted to see was really Romancing The Stone.
So she cheated on you with a jacked Kathleen Turner?
Danny Devito. Obviously.
Question: If you’ve seen a movie more than 20 times over the span of a 10 year period, is it time to start evaluating your life?

Not necessarily.
I used to watch “Master and Commander” or “Spy Game” at night while I was falling asleep. Something about the dialogue of those films helped me relax.
Also, I watch “The Right Stuff” at least three times a year, and have been since I got the VHS for it back in the 90’s. Fantastic film.

Ha!
There’s a mexican restaurant chain in Cali called Rubio’s. Every time we chose to eat there I think of that line.
“Ru-Bi, Ru-Bi OOOOOoooo’s!!”

Probably only if it is show tunes or musicals.
Otherwise its enjoying a movie.
