I thought it your relentless, brutally out of touch union.

Anyone seen Cigarette Burns (John Carpenter Film)? If you haven’t, definently check it out. Most unique newer horror film out there. If there is a such thing as a movie that’ll keep you up at night, this is it.
The owner of a small, private movie theater, deeply in debt, is offered $200,000 to find the last print of a legendary film. The flim was only shown once, and is so disturbing that upon laying eyes on it, the audience proceeded to kill each other and burn the theater down. Tracking down the flim leads him into the world of genuine snuff flim producers, and other gruesomely violent things.
Although not “horror” in the typical white girl chased by ghost/murderer, I dare anyone here to watch one of these movies before they go to sleep and be able to fall asleep right after.
Cannibal Holocaust
Cannibal Ferox
(any of the) August Underground movies
(any of the) Guinea Pig movies
But no, I can’t think of any movies that are actually scary.

I saw the preview on youtube. Yeah kinda freaky even when I was watching it during the daytime.

Really any movie with religious overtones, because I mean, what the fuck do you do against the devil? You can’t kill him, you can’t really fight him, and God never comes in on a white horse- once you’re in that position, you’re pretty assured that you’re going to die in order to keep him away.
100% agree. The spooky demon/devil/possession movies freak me out. The ring, the grudge, paranormal activity.

Any kind of slasher movie, like Scream, Halloween, the Jason movies, etc. don’t scare me because I figure that I’d be like Arnold in Predator… “If it bleeds, I can kill it.” I’d be a fucking handful for that guy, let me tell you
Exactly, they make me a bit jumpy for that evening sometimes but Mike and Jason whoever would know they picked the wrong house, 12 gauge buckshot at point blank pretty much finishes the movie.
I’ll also add that House of a thousand corpses was disturbing.
White Noise scared me, and The Ring, The Grudge, and Paranormal Activity.
but those old Night Gallery tv shows scared me, like the one where the painting on the stairs kept changing. The one of the view of the front of the house and the cemetary.
Also a good one was the original, When A Stranger Calls. I saw that for the first time when I was babysitting alone in a two story house.
The now classic “Event Horizon”. That shit scarred me. Especially the hanging skin pelt. O__O
It’s been a while since i’ve seen a good scary movie. The Exorcist was a good one, but I was doing 2 hits of blotter at the time. Liked house of a thousand corpses and texas chainsaw massacre. silence of the lambs had it’s moments. I’m hoping this one will be good
Isnt a scary movie but it sure fucked with my head…MIDNIGHT EXPRESS, an oldie but a fucking classic
Anthony Hopkin’s Magic (1978) scared the shit out of me as a kid. Now the movie the fourth kind I just saw scared the shot out of me because I did not know it was all bullshit and just the thought of any of it being real fucked with me…then I went on imdb and found out it was all bull and I felt like a complete fucktard.
Exorcist, perhaps not now but when I watched it as a teenager. I think that night they played 1 and 2 back to back…bad idea.
Jesus camp: - YouTube
Absolutely terrifying.

I thought the excerpts were real?? I can’t find anything on IMDB that says it’s fake? Please be wrong…please! I want to believe ![]()

The Harry Potter line was hilarious though.
When it came out, Darkness Falls made me want to sleep with the light on.
Stephen King’s Night Flier scared the crap out of me when I was a teenager. The movie wasn’t all that scary itself but I watched it right before I had to go to work… at a small private airport in the middle of nowhere, at night and by myself.
Not the smartest thing I’ve ever done.

White Noise - It’s not terrifying, but something about that movie made me uneasy. I’m not one to scare big from these movies but this movie really did something for me.
Silent Hill - When the janitor caming crawling out of the bathroom stall wrapped in barbed wire. Whoa.
A Haunting in Conneticut - When the boy is in the basement and his mother is trying to get console him/get him up, the lights start flickering and you see the ghost/burned boy lurching up behind them but only he can see it. That was really something.
YES! White noise disturbed me somehow - was it the voices? Trapped loved ones? A completely menacing presence bubbling just behind all the technology that surrounds us?
AND! Paranormal Activity - that left a fecking scar.
El Orfanato - Not only freaky, but thoughtful too. The image of the kid scared the fuck out of me.
remember seeing a french horror movie, called “martyr”. actually one of the darkest most intense horrors ive seen. really left me thinking…

Yeah bro…they purposely left the actress out of the credits to make it seem real but if you to imdb someone posts the actresses website! This movie was made kind of lkke the blair witch…but all and I mean all of the supposed real clips are/bs
Hardly a scary movie but The Strangers had me a little freaked out when I was going home after it.(I live in the middle of nowhere and we got a late show).
Slight spoiler alert
It’s just the bit where Liv Tyler takes a glass of water and is looking out the window but across the room we can see the dude in the mask watching her from the shadows. Scared the bejesus outta me. Being watched by someone you don’t even know is in the room.
End Spoiler alert
