Movie Emasculation, Gayness

The OP’s rant is simply a frustrated case of prejudice. Go back and read the OP and replace every “gay” with “black” and you’ll see my point. He’s ridiculous and so is every one who agrees with him.

These people should be questioning what it is about themselves that leads them to think their resentment of “gayness” is anything but outright prejudice and/or discrimination before they start asking for a rally to make changes to things like the movie industry.

And to avoid any confusion, I am not gay and I have never voted Democrat in my life, so don’t think I’m some biased lefty homo.

This is the point. I don’t HAVE to like the road hollywood takes us down lately, and if I complain, I get called names. Nice.

So you change my words to your own to suit your arguement?

Just remember rock sticks and stones may break your bones but getting called names will never hurt you. Your a tuff football playing four wheel driving kinda guy, a couple names don’t mean nothing.

I’m not homophobic, but yeah,if I know a main character in a movie or tv show is gay,I’m less likely to watch it.
You never know what’s gonna ‘pop up’!

A workmate of mine made the mistake of going to see ‘brokeback mountain’ at the cinema, without doing his research! All he know as it was a western…and then some!!! he was traumatised…!!

But I saw ‘Kiss Kiss Bang Bang’ last year, after much protesting against my brothers good review of it…
I was put off by the fact that Val Kilmer, one of two main characters,is gay.

But when I watched it,I loved it! I watched it again with my mate, who is very homophobic.
At the end,he was like ‘I know Val’s character was gay…but…he’s a cool motherfucker!’
I tend to agree. The character is openly gay, makes several references to it and makes cock/sex jokes-but he gets away with it-you just don’t care!

the character just happens to be gay, that’s all,it’s not really relevant to the movie and it doesn’t ‘get in the way’ of his character-he’s not a camp, mincing gay-he’s a smart, tough, fast talkin, sports car drivin’,cool dud wearin’ sonofabitch!
No bare ass,no gay lovemaking, just a cool motherfucker!

Also I found gay sex to be done very well in ‘Ali G In Da House’ near the end-I laughed so hard,a bit of wee came out!

SPOILER ALERT*************

Ali G walks in in two of his ‘Staines Massive’ crew, who have been trapped in an airtight room by the bad guys-
Ali comes to the rescue, only to find them having ass sex.

The dialogue and delivery cracked me up!

‘What are you doing?!’
‘Well,we thought we were gonna die,so we thought we might as well try it out!’
‘Yeah?..what’s it like?’
‘It’s not bad,actually’
‘Yeah?!’
‘Yeah,it’s alright’

I was just pointing out that if I express any dislike, names come out. Who is the actual hater? I’m hated more for my view that I don’t like the content, than I actually hate the content. Very much like political parties.

I knew this was what you were getting at (you’ve mentioned this a couple times in the PWI forums) but you’re way off. If you think the people in Hollywood are being driven by politics and not money, you’re mistaken. There is simply no other way to put it.

People hate you! Gee that kinda does sound like crying. Hope you find a solution to your problem.

Take it easy,

D

I’m not going to call you names, and I apologize for getting a bit moralistic on Get a Life, but here’s the thing.

Some people are gay. They’ve had a hell of a hard time gaining acceptance. They still don’t have equal rights. Occasionally someone will still be murdered for being gay. And people who “aren’t into gays” and don’t want to see them in public are part of the problem. It builds a culture of fear where people don’t dare hold hands on the street with the ones they love.

I don’t think a butt gag in a gross-out comedy is much of a remedy, either. But you can’t expect gays to hide or be hidden as they were in the past. (If you want to see partially-naked women, I’m pretty sure there’s no shortage, so I have to infer that you’re revealing your disgust at homosexuality.) These are some ugly sentiments you’re spreading, Rockscar.

Rockscar I’m with you. This stuff is bullshit. However, I feel it for different reasons.

In my generation, many of us are ashamed of our bodies. I went to an all boys high school (no I did not catch teh ghey!) and I remember my freshman year I was like “OMGZZZ can’t let them see my weeeenis!” I remember the shower was the fucking scariest thing in high school. The errant erection (which could easily happen from 13-18) had the possibility to ruin your life if you didn’t handle it right.

After three years of getting back to the real world, and playing junior hockey with a bunch of guys who didn’t give a shit because the locker room is the locker room, I’ve been more liberated. I know I have a good body. Not an elite bodybuilder or top member of T-Nation, but I have some size, and I have abs (I rock the Canadian tan, so that doesn’t help me). These kinds of things associate naked men with gayness, laughing, and disgust.

In the 80’s shirtless guys where fucking awesome. Rocky III was gay as hell, but no one cared! Why because it kicked ass. Same thing with some Arnold movies, and Top Gun. It’s okay to have a nice body and kick ass. Way better than showing nudity of out of shape guys to be laughed at and mocked by so many. It’s part of the carryover from the “pussification of america.”

I’m fucking sick of seeing it. I really don’t think it’s funny. The borat thing was funny for 20 seconds… I think I left the room after that, I had to get more food. I really have more a problem with the physical comedy though. Like south park had a great episode where cartman takes a picture of his balls in Butter’s mouth. That’s fucking hilarious.

Talledega Nights had a gay guy in the most intolerant group of fans in sports. My mom and step dad had just moved to North Carolina when I saw the movie. It made it that much funnier. It’s true though, the jokes aren’t as funny, and the nudity sucks. I want to see pussy in movies if they’re going to keep showing dicks.

Wrong. It’s both money and politics. How many conservative movies are out there? You get blacklisted in Hollywood if you are not a liberal.

I don’t expect anything to be hidden. I don’t spread hate, or “Ugly Sentiment”. I never said I was disgusted as you said. Please stop changing the things I write.

Again, the fact that I DO NOT LIKE SEEING MALE NUDITY OR HOMOSExUALITY on my tv does not mean I’m a hater or racist. It’s a personal view. Again, if I do not embrace it, then I’m a bad person in your eyes.

Well, first of all, it’s easy to be liberal if you’re very poor (because you get the handouts) or if you’re very rich (because you can afford to give the handouts). People in Hollywood are very rich, hence, they find it easy to be liberal.

Second, most movies have nothing to do with being liberal or conservative. It just so happens that mainstream America finds gay jokes funny. I find them funny and I’m (for the most part) a conservative.

Honestly, if all things were truly equal, there would be just as much dick in movies as there are tits and ass.

I personally think we are still winning as far as the tits and ass. I mean, did you see the new Friday the 13th movie? I mean, how many tits can you fit in one movie?

Its definitely a bit of both. Money is ALWAYS the prime mover, but there is a bunch of political activism in the content of films these days. I make it a point to ignore the shit I don’t agree with and just try to be entertained. However, there is a line. There are certain people in Hollywood for whom I will not pay one red cent to support their films. Whether the movies are good or not, I can’t justify it.

I really want someone to point out the cases of true political activism that is supposedly turning up in nearly every movie lately.

Rockscar, perhaps your fear of gays is really a gay feeling that is dormant inside you, and you resent that feeling. When you say you don’t like to see excessive amounts of cock in a movie, what I’m really hearing is “I hate myself”.

I’m gonna go ahead and say it, if you don’t like gay porn, you’re probably gay. It’s only because you’re afraid of what other people will think.

I remember when I hated black people, I realised it was because in my mind, I am black. Now that I’ve accepted black people for who I am, I can enjoy movies that are filled to the brim with black people.

I think the ultimate testament to tolerance would be a insatiable desire for gay black porn.

So tell me rockscar, is it the movies you don’t like? Or is it what you see in yourself when you watch those movies?

And to avoid any confusion, I am not gay and I have never voted Democrat in my life, so don’t think I’m some biased lefty homo.

I’d agree. Personally, I just tune out he crap and try to teach my kids what I believe and why I believe it. Most of what I see as the “gay lifestyle is silly self indulgence”.

There’s enough lack of responsibility out there without adding the gay factor to the mix.

Now , I am not saying all gays lack responsibility, just what its celebrated about gays is another example of the vain look at me lifestyle. a celebration o of style over substance.

We have tards like that Hilton guy who was a a blogger? Maybe the most useless profession out there. I’m sure there are some great authors who are gay, scientists, etc. but we get the silly ass queer stuff as an example of gay.

But then would that be gay, or just someone taking care of their own life? I don’t see why it’s an issue worth even discussing if someone has sex with the same sex.

Gay, gay gay. Who cares. I drive a Honda, who cares? John and Kate, who really cares? People are to stuck on celebrity. a douche who asks a beauty queen a question is not news.

Some bitchy woman takes fertility drugs and that is not news. News is important stuff.
