Keep at it bro! Think about how you would feel if you got this close and then let it go to shit. My fiance hates my dieting with John because I spend so much time prepping my food for work the next day but she also understands that I’m trying to get healthier. All the personal bullshit will eventually subside and the people who truely care will still be there when its all over. Fuck the rest!!!
I know, I’m so close. I think two solid weeks would get me there too. I spend a bit of time prepping food too and then of course I object to going out to eat and/or have a few drinks rather regularly which pisses my wife off and just adds to the mounting issues we’re already have. Our issues are making this very hard and I have 3 weeks of business travel coming up which makes it nearly impossible to eat right, let alone exercise.
You get a cheat meal right? Take her out to dinner. I thought gave a cheat meal per week. Might be different for you since you’re so close to the end though. I do know what you’re talking about, it can be a pain in the ass sometimes. But like MODOK said…get a netflix subscription
Or an option is to get a steak and veggies when you go out? Just trying to offer some helpful ideas that I’m sure you’ve already heard. It’s not always easy eating healthy when others are not on board.
Hi, I was on the MDD website and saw he has a lean GAIN program. Has anyone have any experience with him for GAINING muscle (there seems to be alot of fat loss but I cant find any muscle gain reviews) thank you

I personally haven’t but I John’s results and rep speak for themselves. Friend him on FB and look at some of his clients. I would send him an e-mail, tell him your goals, tell him where you’re at, and let him think what can be done. He is really good, wish I could afford to hire him more often.

I’ve been working with him for about 3 months and feel good about my muscle gains. Definitely looks like I’ve gotten wider all over.

Can you tell me, does John have you on a super high calorie diet or just relatively high calories. do you have trouble getting in the food? thanks. I just want to see if his GAIN program consists of stuffing/forcing yourself with food. I know it is customized but just looking for a rough idea. thanks

I don’t have trouble getting in food as far as it being too much food. Sometimes I don’t like eating 6 or 7 times a day and prefer around 4. I let him know this and he switched up the frequency for me. He is vary accommodating. He doesn’t just have you stuff your face and wait for you to get bigger. He will start you off with a base diet/macros and adjust weekly from there according to how you look, feel and perform. So he really plays around with your diet to find that sweet spot where you are adding quality mass without fat gain. I don’t think you would have a problem getting in the calories unless you are a very light eater or you have a crazy high metabolism.
How are “gains” in general affected going down to a meager 100g of carbs on an off day. Is it enough for anabolic response, or is it just a maintenance day to minimize fat gain?
You can have as much carb as you see fit. I follow the same pattern as the MD diet and have about 200-230g carbs on OFF days and around 300-330g on ON days. On a Thursday i may have 500+g if i’m doing stuff like krav Maga and lifting that day.
OK, I saw the sample menu on the first page, but I didn’t know carbs are “flexible” in his plans.
Still, I find that I’m too carb sensitive and would like to do 150g daily at most (75g peri-wo) and just wondering how people’s gains were overall if they did go “lower” carb. Question I guess mostly for carb sensitive endo’s.
I’m carb sensitive but im not having a problem at those numbers i posted. I’d prefer to go as high as i can with carbs personally. I’ve tried low carb when cutting (100g a day is low) and just looked flat and didn’t feel great. My volume in the gym is fairly high (10-14 sets per body part) so i want to have enough in the tank to power through. If you do lower volume you might be able to get away with less. I’m not sure how you would react to 150g a day. You’ll just have to give it a go and see how it works for you.
