More Women Needed

I just learned some interesting things just reading this thread… And I agree with you, pch2. Another thread this would have been good for.

OK Headhunter. I hope you aren’t using cute babies as bait to get some women over here. I’m not setting foot in the politics forum unless a man posts something about his bra rash. (^:

I love women. They bring a different perspective, usually more rational than the men. Women are also often peacemakers, which is cool.

My wife is my inspiration. Here she is, going along, just got tenure, when along comes HH saying that God told him to go adopt a little girl from China. Of course, she thinks I’m crazy (guilty) but then I got her: “Any good Christian can send a once-a-month check to a charity. It takes a real Christian to bring a child into your home.” How was she going to argue with that?

BTW: right around that corner is where my daughter was found by a cop. She was left in a cardboard box. And I thought my early life sucked…

God talks to you?

Could you ask him what I did with my brown silk dress. It was my favorite and I can’t find it anywhere.

Thanks!

So THAT’S where this lovely smelling dress came from!!!

You know it would be nice if some more of you guys bothered to come visit and post in the women’s forums more. There are plenty of logs with plenty of questions to answer.

Ah, that’s where I left it!

Thanks

Honestly, I stay away from the women’s forums for two reasons

 1. It’s really difficult to not hit on them. And doing so is very inappropriate.

 2. I have no perspective when it comes to eating/training for women. I know a 225 bench is the cusp of when men stop being complete beginners, and I know a 315 squat and is pretty similar. I know 2500 kcal should be plenty caloric deficit to cut fat, and I know 4000-5000 kcal to gain is also similarly appropriate.

When I see experienced female lifters posting a 105lb bench and eating 1700 kcal to cut… my gut reaction is to scream SQUATS AND MILK to the high heavens. And my brain recognizes that this is probably not the advice they need.

So I just mind my own business, and help those to whom I can relate.

Oh please, if you have the self discipline to train, you have no excuse.

Well, you could still answer general questions on form, specifics on nutrition, etc. There are plenty of similarities. I think you’re selling yourself short.

LOL!. He only speaks to me when he wants me to do something or if he wants His presence known. This has only happened 4 times, the first time after a terrible tragedy (fiance died).

Why don’t more ladies post in some of the off-beat threads, like GAL and Politics? We always treat women with respect.

What if my adopted daughter from China invites you? :)
Are you implying that the few of us already here aren’t woman enough for you, huh, huh?

I love Get A Life because…well, I guess I need to get a life. Politics? Gawd, I get quite enough of that in real life, thank-you very much.

(Cute kid.)

You wear a bra all day and see how you like it. Be sure to go with underwire, no cheating. You shouldn’t complain, it’s the price paid for lugging around these bobbly things you boys like so much.

I used to wear a bra until all the funny looks got to be too much. Maybe I should have worn it under my shirt?
Didn’t anyone used to watch Seinfeld? A Bro is much less ridiculous for a guy.

Perhaps true.

I just KNOW I’d derail a log completely with inappropriate innuendo.

“Doctor, I’m getting a little tired of your sexual innuendo.”

“In your end-o.”
