I’m actually surprised to see how many people are still around/came back.
So it’s kind of a funny book; he starts out “I don’t really know or care much about lifting records and feats of strength any more” and then proceeds to spend 80% of the book talking about lifting records and feats of strength. But lots of gems among the rambling.
Also probably of interest are his 3 Milo Barbell Courses. These were written about 20 years before he wrote Super Strength. Very clearly written.
- The First Course in Body Building and Muscle Developing Exercises (Part 2)
- The Second Progressive Course of Instructions
- Advanced Course of Weightlifting
And the Stark Center at UT-Austin has archives of his Strength magazine he sent out for free to all of his customers.
Seems like he was a very passionate and genuine guy. One of the first to bring adjustable barbells to the masses.
