Chest 45.5 (Last measure on 10/28 44.5)
Waist 37 (10/28 36.5 trending up…no bueno)
Hips 44 (10/28 44)
Arms 15! (10/28 14.5)
Thighs 25.5! (10/28 24) - This could be a huge pump from the crazy squats, but that’s a pretty significant pump. If I even gained a .5 inch that’s more than when I ran BtM.
Weight: 221 Height: 6’3"
Not bad. Waist…well yeah but it’s damn hard to get bigger arms or anything for that matter without getting a bigger waist. Mr. Meadows game plan is a win. I will say me eating like I am still running mini-BTM probably didn’t hurt either. I’ll probably up the eating a bit and just push conditioning a bit more to fight the bulge in the waist. All in all would recommend Reactive Pump.

Need to readjust my TM on bench. Top set was supposed to be 155 which seemed crazy. Maybe gained a little pressing strength during reactive pump. My shoulder has been naggy but everything felt light today. I’ll up the TM a bit.
It seems to have a few of his tricks all rolled into one. @T3hPwnisher has recommended this one a couple times and I glanced over it a few times in Forever. So far so good. Today’s session seemed quick and easy…maybe I was just feeling good today.
You are pressing some weight. Wish my squats and presses looked like yours. Squats are getting there but man my shoulders suck.
If that last post was directed at me- I think my overhead pressing is by far my weakest lift. Those incline presses from today were low incline and back supported. Not anything to write home about haha. We’re just about squared up on overhead pressing as far as I can tell.
And yeah, idk what the hell is happening to my squat. It sucks lol
Sorry hit the wrong reply. Your squats look good! I haven’t hit 300x5. That’s something I’d like to try early next year. Now that I think I have my squats in order anyway. OHP is just a tough lift. Especially with my terrible shoulders and long ass arms, but only way to get any better at it is to keep swinging at it. Hopefully I’ll press something bigger than 135 or even 135 for reps.
Not full on BtM diet, but still keeping the calories up for sure. We split a beef with our in-laws but the farmer wanted a half for himself and no one else to take the other half. So we decided wth and split that half with the in-laws as well. The beef is vacuum sealed at the processor and according to them if kept properly in the freezer will keep about 2 years. Could run BtM 365…no…
I have no problem with Reactive Pump, and it was good to do something completely different from what I have been doing. It’s just that I’ve been on the getting stronger train this year and 531 has been working. I definitely put some size on running Reactive Pump. Besides never planned on running RP for long anyway.
Does you good changing up methodologies, 531 is my default training so having a break from it usually enthuses me for going back to it. Looking forward to see you get stronger!
Thanks man, yeah I agree ohp and bench are definitely a bit more difficult to progress. I think it’s all about finding what works for you, and why, and when to use certain methods… I just haven’t found mine yet haha
I know you just started svr, but maybe after you finish a few cycles you might try a TM style for squats. I’ve been doing it a better part of the year and have still been improving, I’m just now veering off that path with pervertor. Even when I was running a Paul Carter program last spring it was still similar to what I did with my 531 stuff… hit a heavy single then destroy yourself with backoff sets. I think Jim has a few different templates with that setup in forever.
I was just looking at PC’s simple but brutal plan a while back. It’s the one where you squat and bench every session and work up to a 20 repper 3 times a week with squats along with some pretty legit assistance. Also employs his 350 for incline bench. I liked the look of that because it sounds damn easy and tough but it had no OHP. I’ll keep that mind though when I’m done running SVR II.
I definitely like the way he sets up programs. I’m planning on running guaranteed muscle mass for a few months during the transformation challenge again this year. I loved the very short period I ran it for, but the lack of actual deadlifting is what prevented me from continuing.
Simple but brutal sounds cool, I’ll have to check it out.

245 x 17 disappointed here but cramp in my glutes stopped these before 20.
Deads felt light today. I think the change of pace Reactive Pump may have helped my strength more than I thought.

Good work today. Quick and to the point. I’ll probably add some other back stuff down the road. Splitting out leg curls here bad idea. My hams and glutes were on fire after all the deads. I still have some Doms today from Mondays squat session. Pants are getting tight around the legs. Thats a good sign. All in all good stuff.

Bench numbers are too light. This didn’t do much for me like the squats did. I should have done all the BBB sets at 135.
I supersetted the BBB sets with micro band y raises.
50 chins and dips for assistance.
Not sure but thinking of upping TM on Bench again…weird that its going so well. I’ve always sucked at bench.
Probably a good thing it is going well though? We all know 531 lulls you into a false sense of security… then all of a sudden it gets really hard haha. Are you planning on running SVR for a while?
