hahaha…I think he is right.

I can’t fucking wait for wolverine to come out in Blu-ray…still another month to go over here i think[/quote]

Questions, is it just me or there is not a big difference on PS3 Blueray to normal DVD player? Yes, I can notice a difference, sweat dips on forhead etc but not “that” much. However, I never seen a movie on just a Blueray DVD player. This may be one of the (many) stupidest things I’ve said but just what I experienced.

Are you talking about difference between watching normal DVD and watching a Blu-ray DVD on the PS3? If so,remember that the PS3 upscales normal DVD to near HD quality.

Yes, I was comparing the two. I have the HD cable as well as a Sony HD flat screen LCD. Thinking about it there’s a difference in colour and sharpness but again, to me, not that much difference. I think I need to lay off the drugs (sarcasm).

I think you missed his point. If you are watching both a dvd and a blue ray on a PS3, the PS3 upgrades the DVD so you would see LESS of a difference between the two than if you watched a dvd on a regular dvd player and then watched a dvd on a PS3 as well as a difference between that and a blue ray.

One of my frat brothers has an LCD flat screen and watching his blue ray of The Dark Knight had everyone in the room tripping out because it was like we were sitting in the back of the set while they were filming the movie in front of us.

That is what I meant lol. Reading Big_Boss’s post again makes sense. Now I see why there isn’t much of a difference.

You gotta love that feeling! Makes the movie so much more enjoyable and exciting. But when it’s Marley and Me not so much…

Prof X, do you have an LCD or plasma?

I had a Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson double header last night LOL

Watched “Race to Witch Mountain” and “The Scorpion King” and I really enjoyed both, surprisingly.

Mine is plasma. My frat brother has LCD. Both have their pro’s and cons almost equally. The Dark Knight looks way cleaner on his…but Wolverine looks better on mine. Plasma seems to be great for high action movies with tons of special effects. The picture is “smoother”. LCD seems to be better for movies that hold shots a little longer.

I would probably rather watch a movie like Michael Clayton on LCD and a movie like Wolverine on plasma.

Is there any truth to the notion of Plasmas giving off alot of heat? I have heard people claim you could cook an egg from the heat it gives off. Of course, my bullshit detector went off.

I just watched The Talented Mr Ripley - Its a bit old, but I couldnt get to sleep so I checked it out. Wow was this movie Ghey! I didnt expect that, seriously it was pretty good, goes to show how talented Matt Damon is, he can do it all, Action, comedy, Straight, sort of gay.

The Mist - Wow usually Stephen King adaptations suck balls (a few standouts, The Shining, Stand By Me, Shawshank, Misery, Needfull things) but this I really found interesting. Not only some real crazy looking bugs, but what happens inside of the grocery store and how fragile the human psyche is , was real interesting to watch. Thomas Jane is a good actor (hung) but that ending really pissed me off.

First Blood- yeah

He really wasn’t gay just obsessed with Jude Law and his lifestyle the social aspects, the parties, the wealth etc… If that meant he had to do some gay stuff he was fine with it.

I have a hard time watching movies I’ve read. Read it while on jury duty one day, actually kept my attention.

Metro sexual moment. I cried and screamed “You can stay with me” to the little girl in “I can do bad all by myself”. My date said she didn’t want to see me anymore, and she was looking for more of a brad pitt type of guy.

Savannah Smiles- good movie that brings back memories. anyone remember it? I wore this tape out as a kid

Wait – did you just claim to “call” a movie based on a true story?

Yeah, I “called” what happened at the end of the Notorious Big movie, too.
