I think it’s safe to say that Monopoly, if not played correctly, WILL eventually destroy the entire universe.

While good, scrabble and apples to apples can’t hold a candle to the game of choice for real T-men: RISK

These are the same idiots who say you can’t collect rent while in jail. House rules suck. Learn to play the game right.

Exactly.

I don’t know why everyone feels the need to change all the rules with that game. People don’t change the movement of the pieces at Chess, or the values of the letters in Scrabble… why does everyone dick around with the Monopoly rules? The games is a lot better when played correctly.

That reminded of a time when I was playing Chess with a guy I had never played before and I captured his pawn en passant. He didn’t like it and complained about it. He told me he doesn’t play that way. “Well, then you don’t play Chess, mother fucker!”

And you’re dead-on about the length of the game. It’s funny that so many people think Monopoly is such a long game. It can be – depends on the roll of the dice. But most of the time it’s retarded house rules that extend the game.

In my family the laws of the United States and the State of California take over where the rules leave off. As a result our games end up being a mess of intertwined contracts granting privileges and restrictions on just about every deal we make.

There is no OSHEA or ADA though. They would probably make some good chance cards.[/quote]

LOL, I won’t even ask about your guys’ specifics regarding civil unions and pharm-grade THC.

this may be the wrong thread…stick it in her butt!!

I think you have to have all of your money on display, but it doesn’t have to be organized. (You could have a stack with a $1 on top.)

/looked up the official rules and some strategies (actually a lot of helpful stuff on the Parker Brother’s website) after I got my ass handed to me a few months back.
