When I lived in the Bay Area, I took cello lessons for a few years, and went to a bunch of classical music concerts. I was psyched when I got tickets for Yo-Yo Ma opening for the SF music season, but there were no dudes around for me to high five.
Music school would be a good place to meet girls, even for incels. (joke -this topic is so mind bogglingly moronic it’s like I’m waiting for someone to tell me I’m on Candid InterwebZ)

People have claimed this in the past, and I’m sure it contributed a bit to it, but it definitely was celebrities that pushed it to the mainstream, we are a celebrity obsessed culture after all.
Only that men tend to do things to get laid. Women do not.
Some guys I know didn’t just decide they enjoyed EDM and start jumping around like fucking morons because they suddenly enjoyed the music, they did it because they saw all these good looking girls going to these festivals.

That’s just not real. Women do virtually everything to get laid, and are extremely competitive for it.

Wrong. Women don’t shower, workout, wear makeup, shave their legs, etc.
I’m convinced he is just saying things now for reaction. He’s getting closer to saying something like “women don’t breathe.”
I mean, my statement is an oversimplification, but, yeah.
They do a lot for themselves that makes them feel good, confident, sexy, etc. And to get laid.

Have you ever noticed how hot chicks don’t like tacos? I mean they won’t eat them period. Not a single hot woman has ever ate a taco. I tell all the younger guys I give advice to this and still they say sometimes they took a girl to a Mexican restaurant.

I think he’s implying that although people generally follow trends, women are more inclined to them than men, which I agree with.
And I agree that women have less sophisticated taste in music generally. Yes, there are talented female musicians and women that listen to their work, but my observation is that generally speaking they’re uninterested. I don’t think this is bad, nor is this a criticism.
I’ve yet to meet a woman who said she is a fan of Steve Vai or Joe Satriani.

I can’t say I care much, nor do I think musical taste is so important. I was simply partaking in the convo.
Fortunately my wife, in-laws and I like some of the same artists and have attended some concerts together and I never had to hide previous eccentric musical tastes of mine.
