Of course not! It’s popular because people listen to it more frequently!

Well you went to a Staind concert dude lol

you prove me wrong with statistics? Can anyone even quantify what we are talking about? my god some of you are insufferable lol

Yeah dude I use those words for comic effect. I find them funny. And yes MOST hot girls do not have good taste in music. This is a fact.

I get your point though I don’t agree with it since I go to a lot of classical music concerts and relunctantly watch live musicals.

But why in the world would you cite SLAYER as an example of “good music”? You see why nobody takes you seriously?

I used listen to Slayer from age thirteen to 35, along with other thrash, speed, and death metal, and New York hardcore. Move forward five years and I can’t stand those genres for more than a minute or two.

In the context of metal, I think Slayer is good, but I know longer consider any of those genres good or even healthy to listen to. I saw Slayer in concert once.

I think Slayer is like one of those shitty B grade horror flicks. I like them. I rewatch them several times. But I cannot objectively call them good movies.

That’s actually a great description and what I was trying to express, though I don’t care to listen to them anymore. The same goes for other thrash and death metal, punk, and NYHC. I’d rather listen to relaxing, ultra-corny old New York freestyle (eg, Saphire, Noel, Judy Torres) on my way to and from work played on Satellite radio rather than having someone scream and growl and feel as if I’m in an insane asylum.

I meant earlier dumbass.

No we can’t quantify this because it’s a moronic thing to bring up in the first place. Of course that didn’t stop you.

Who is the guy that told you this fact because no one believes you know any hot women?

Look you cuck fuck White Knight soy boy, it’s a fact but there are no stats or a way to quantify it. That’s how facts work you fuck suck fuck boy.

For a lot of young men, yes, slayer is good music. I was just giving an extreme example to get my point across.

A better example is to think of the electronic dance scene. The music hasn’t changed that much and yet the ‘scene’ has, significantly.

If we wanted to get technical with it I’d say music has been regressing ever since the classical explosion… you as a classical music fan but can’t appreciation metal is strange as the bridge from classical to metal is a relevant one. Anyway, I rather not get into a musical discussion on that level.

Back to the point- it is hard to find women with good taste, why? because most women follow trends. Think of the beard craze we recently saw… beards have been around forever, but when I was in high school if a dude had a beard it was looked at as ‘gross’ or ‘he’s a weirdo’ etc etc all of a sudden a few big celebrities and rappers started rocking beards and BOOM all of a sudden ‘staceys’ started loving beards lol. it was the funniest thing to see.

I experienced this one first hand, as someone that had a beard for a long time, all of a sudden I walk into a bar (around 4 years ago) and every single fucking dude in there had a beard lol. Why? because these guys wanted attention from the females that all of a sudden deemed this ‘sexy’ .

I like metal. Slayer does not represent the metal genre. You see what kind of silly logic you put forth when you make arguments?

I was on point. I see more women at classical music concerts and musicals. Their spouses normally have the “what the fuck am I doing here” look on their faces. Have you ever seen any guys go, "Dudes! I’ve got us advance tickets for Cats! " followed by high fives all around? I also have a side business which is a music school. The ratio of females to male is normally around 3:2. I have an ample sample size since it’s been running for 10 years.

You still haven’t defined what good taste is (hint it’s going to be agreeing with what you think is good). Which makes it subjective and who the fuck cares anyways. You have a notepad of shit you carry around to be anti-women or something? I’m not sure if you’re an incel but you seem to think exactly like one. And talk like them.

And most people follow trends. That’s how they become trends. Men do it as well. Also something becoming popular doesn’t make it bad. You sound like one of those annoying “I loved them before they sold out and others started liking them” people.

A hardcore, edgy band that didn’t even have the balls to draw a full pantegram for it’s logo.

Most people’s minds are made up for them. I don’t think most things become popular for the vast majority of people organically.

From Edward Bernays, a profound statement that stuck with me:

“Who are the men, who, without our realizing it, give us our ideas, tell us whom to admire and whom to despise, what to believe about the ownership of public utilities … who tell us how our houses should be designed, what furniture we should put into them, what menus we should serve at our table, what kind of shirts we must wear, what sports we should indulge in, what plays we should see, what charities we should support, what pictures we should admire, what slang we should affect, what jokes we should laugh at?”

Nah. The beard thing took off again like 15 years ago when a bunch of special ops guys started leaving their beards on and came home as heros.

Imagine that. Women attracted to bad asses and heros. So fucking lame, amiright!?!

Proceeds to give an example about men following trends.

It’s like, it’s not a wrong statement: just stupidly obvious.

Most women follow trends.

As do most men.

Because that’s what makes a trend a trend. By it’s very definition. If it is something most people are following, it becomes a trend.

It would be like saying “traditionally, the majority of the electoral college will vote for the person that will be elected president”
