What’s the point in engaging me like that? Do you want a confrontation? Want me to respond with hostility? This is how the last thread we had on this topic went down the gutter.

People came immediately with personal insults, and name calling instead of actual discussion.

But to answer your question yes this did happen to me 1 time, and I’ve had others tell me similar stories. It does happen.

In my case it was a long time ago, and she was a straight out of college cute blond girl I met through friends. The whole night was going great but then she gave me some weird litmus test on what a feminist was (I don’t recall why this topic came up) Whatever, it still went well, but when it came time to pay a few hours later I felt like ‘hey let me ya know show her I don’t expect anything from her after we drank all this let me propose splitting the bill and going home early’…

lol. Despite kissing and having a pretty decent departure I go to find out later on that she brought up to some of her coworkers (which some had been friends) that I didn’t offer to pay the bill lol and the guy friends I had in that office made it seem like she was really dogging me for not paying the bill.

I got this of course from the bros:

“dude, you didn’t even pay the bill?”
“whip the wallet out man, geez”
“this guys’ wallet… whose has actually seen it?”

I can handle the ribbing, but for her to actually do that, just, wow. I was younger then, more sensitive, so I never answered her calls, which she did call a few times drunk “heyyyyyyy I’m over her wanna come by, you should come byyy”

Sigh, I was stupid. I should have smashed it. But for some reason I was so shocked by the whole thing that I actually did get a bit insulted.

I work at a college and I’m sure they are there but they haven’t stopped me from lifting weights, eating meat and holding doors open for strangers. It’s easy to avoid people; it’s called avoiding people. Edit: and don’t major in sociology.
