I’m ok with people saying improve yourself to a degree, but I hate it being the only answer to a larger cultural issue though, which is all most people on this sub have done.
I guess it makes sense since it is a forum dedicated to improving yourself at the gym, but still

The larger cultural issue has a lot to do with technology making it far easier to withdraw from society, which has a greater impact on those naturally awkward/obese/etc types that would already have been inclined to be incels.
This is likely to get much worse, imo.
East Asians seem to be more inclined to incel like behaviour and this is likely a reason for their love of computer games and such.
I have read articles about men not leaving their home for days, addiction to gaming etc. Stuff like ever growing and cheap delivery services for food and general shopping only make this worse. Especially as automation could lead to mass unemployment and possibly UBI too.
They seem to be further down the line than the west with this problem.
Withdrawal from society is going to be a growing issue, I believe.

Well, I think some incels are incels because of a predisposition to mental illness and being marginalized because of this makes them unhinged.
Not having a woman can be infuriating for some men, even those with no mental illness.

I fully agree with you on the propensity for mental illness, as manifested in some of these behaviours.
Incels are the thin edge of a potentially huge issue in the west in the 21st century.
Unfortunately, it is brushed off by “feminists” who wish to talk about “enforced monogamy” and such instead.
And non incel men tend to use it as an insult and a way to boost their social standing.
I think Incels can be linked to a rise in Islamic and other forms of terror, school shootings, drug/alcohol/food addiction and to an overall demoralisation among men.
None of which have any positives to society at large.
