As opposed to neo-classical economics?
As opposed to neo-classical economics?
I could have an offer in any number of industries in under a week. It’s even easier for menial labor jobs.
He’s not pulling one over. It’s a PR meeting. That’s it.
Because it’s easier to justify spending when you don’t have to back it up with real collateral.
Again proving you don’t understand what the numbers mean on the company level.
Yes because there is no control over employees of a third party.
You mean the economics that took the US to the number 1 super power in the first half of the 20th century?
Every system has limitations. It’s in the very definition. Some (MMT) are more limited by constraints such as always driving production to maximum output (again, mostly not desirable).
So what. Again get a different job.
Also why would you stay at a job if you found out the boss had a vendetta against you?
11 million job openings at the start of the year.
My guess is you don’t understand what a right-to-work state entails. But it has to do with labor unions and you know very little about unions other than you like them.
I totally believe Castoli. No one would hire him. And if they made the mistake in doing so, they would make up a reason and fire him (for cause. He is Castoli is cause enough)
workers who are peeing in bottles and shitting in bags?
I’d hate to see them on a road crew.
You don’t stop an operation that runs at millions of dollar/mile because someone has infantile toilet habits.
*also, not in a controlled climate. Thats in the sun and on 200° asphalt.
Or the B-2 pilots that fly 36 hour continuous missions in uncomfortable seats in a cramped cockpit - nothing but a tube and a bag strapped to their calf to urinate in.
Well, I had a friend fired because he dated the managers wife long before they ever met.
You should start a victims support group for whiney former employees.
But it has to do with labor unions and you know very little about unions other than you like them.
Thinks he likes them. Most assuredly has never worked in one.
But it has to do with labor unions and you know very little about unions other than you like them.
I joined a group on facebook dedicated to shredding any last bits of dignity a welder may have left, and one of the favorite subjects to fight about is whether one should go union, non, or completely on your own.
Of course, everybody is absolutely sure that what they do is the way to do it- but thats what makes it fun. ![]()
I am going to go back to the jobs thing real quick to show that full employment will never happen.
Currently (as stated above) there are 11 million job openings in the US. The current Us population is estimated at 333.4 Million
11M/334.M = 3.3%
Considering 73.6M if those 333.4M are minors (17 and under, likely do not have to work) the population that has the ability to work is closer to 259.8M. This number is on the large side because it doesn’t take into account any percent of that 259.8M that cannot work for whatever reason and those that are retired (doesn’t matter for this example though).
Therefore the percent of job openings compared to the number of possibly employable people is actually closer to
11M/259.8 = 4.2%
From:
Unemployment in January was 3.4%
Therefore there are enough job openings for anyone who wants one. So why isn’t there a 100% employment and why do you @castoli711 believe 100% is possible as the MMTers do? By the numbers there should be zero unemployment right now if one just wants to employ a body in any job.
To be fair, a LOT of those job openings are for positions most people aren’t qualified for. It’s not like everyone can just go apply for an RN job or a General Manager position.
True, but if we are looking at gross numbers it generally is that many jobs in many fields are going unfilled.
Getting educated to be an RN (or whatever skilled thing) is possible since you can take basically guaranteed issue loans to cover living and schooling cost while studying (it’s not ideal but it’s a way forward).
Also why would you stay at a job if you found out the boss had a vendetta against you?
Why would one have to go out and get a different job because their boss couldn’t handle it? The manager should’ve left or been fired. He is the one who couldn’t handle it.
, non, or completely on your own.
Most likely this has to do w/ shitty union leaders.
There could be many reasons that one doesn’t take the job. Pay sucks and keeps you destitute. Shitty benefits. People that tell you, you are over-qualified. Not any room to move up etc.
For an MMT economist point of view look to Pavlina Tcherneva’s Job Guarentee.
And you should start an anti right-to-work group. But I’d think you like to give the employers more power.
it’s not ideal
What would be ideal to you?
they would make up a reason and fire him
And this possibility is the reason why I left the traditional workforce. Are you still working?
Are you still working?
After 41 years with an electric power production company, I have been retired 10+ years at 74 years of age.
