Pharma companies have R&D departments. Should the R&D departments be dissolved with the companies?
There’s some psycho babel bullshit. “Ethical consumption?”
Yeah and this reveal of the statistics is bolstered by other studies-which you-in your fantasyland-have not refuted in any way. So you just hang on the argument of statistics because it is all YOU got. And you think you’re left of center. ?How much do you think the Overton window has shifted in the past 2 decades? Left of center now used to be right of center. So you mostly identify with right-wing politics. You can say you don’t but your posts say something different.
In regards to your posts, is why I like debates so much. One side can always push back when the opposition mischaracterizes their position. No learned ignorance or hit and runs. Better than papers. If inclined watch the debate between an MMT economist(Warren Mosler and Professor Murphy)a Von Mises acolyte. This is on YouTube. I’ve posted it before.
So don’t answer the question just deflect. Bravo! Maybe I should have dumbed it down for you a bit. Do you not understand what ethical consumption means?
Since the majority of the seed money comes from the evil government, yes!
What they create is profit centers. It is their primary concern, not health. And you claim to be left of center but are so beholden to the mainstream propaganda it blinds you. Gawd damnit!
If you want the best and brightest scientists, you might need some real money to entice them to your company.
Objectively not so. Papers are the backbone of scientific research in all fields.
You just like them better.
You pointed out some statistics, I pointed out that the statistics have been manipulated to get an emotional response and you doubled down that the statistics had to be right simply because someone created a graph. I distrust all statistics (whether at first glance they support my position or not) until I know what had been done to the data set and why.
You are so into thinking alternatively but you don’t question the presentation of data that “confirms” your position. Confirmation bias gets us all, but it has dragged you to the Marianas trench.
By todays standard (which is the only standard that matters in regards to current politics) I am left of center.
True, but that doesn’t change the fact they have produced cures or therapies that have helped some of the worst biological scourges (AIDS, cancer, polio, smallpox). But now people think these vaccines cause autism, are not getting their children vaccinated and these previously almost irradiated diseases are coming back.
Your head is so far up your own ass you should join the circus as a contortionist.
Something government jobs don’t provide. Private sector always pays more for highly/skilled educated people.
Another excellent opportunity to remind everyone enduring this drivel, Castoli is a Pencil Neck. If in the gym, it is highly doubtful that any of us would give that rack of flab over bones the time of day. Keyboard warrior and gym wimp.
I am all for helping skinny dudes in the gym but he is the skinny dude that comes in, tries to talk to others and offer advice on lifting topics he knows nothing about and then accuses you of PED use for being stronger and putting in the work…
It’s like the 130lb dude who was trying to tell me I was incorrectly squatting 405 in college…
So make profit the primary concern in a healthcare system, not health?
Are we talking about a healthcare system or a private business providing healthcare?
Don’t bother answering. A business providing healthcare won’t be in the business of providing healthcare long if it does not make a profit.
Don’t be oppressed by the tyranny of the “OR”, but instead embrace the genius of the “AND.”
And this is a large part why the majority of Americans want a single-payer system. Why can’t they have it? Because the politicians have been bribed with money and other things to keep the money spigot flowing.
Are you talking about jacking up prices so high that people ration their medicine(e.g. insulin)and suffer while some even die. Awesome system! A private industry that makes people suffer and die for profit. You can use any excuse you like to try and defend this tragedy.
No. What does it mean?
Cry baby. Wring your hands. It is no wonder you can accomplish absolute zero in the weight room.
"Canada’s character and conscience were shocked again when, on New Year’s Eve, a 37-year-old mother, wife and firefighter died in intolerable pain after waiting for urgent care in a teeming emergency room in Nova Scotia for many hours.
The horror experienced by Allison Holthoff and her loving family was not supposed to happen in a country where universal access to hospitals and the doctors and nurses who populate them is determined not by money or stature, but by need."

This is what happens in socialized medicine. Those with money still get the best care and care above the peasantry. I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread?
I know I would rather be in a large amount of debt than dead.
A public entity that makes people suffer and die… for what exactly? A shittier version of healthcare and a sense of moral superiority?
Just saying @castoli711
I wonder if any of the tens of thousands of Americans who die every year because of no health insurance died in intolerable pain or maybe they all died peacefully in their sleep? Or maybe they didn’t die at all and this is all made up in your free market fantasy.
More profits, just like one of your hero’s Milton Friedman says. The only duty, responsibility of a corporation is profits to their shareholders. Man, you are so out of touch!
So WHO has a sense of superiority here?
Yep, I’m a cry baby because I think it’s immoral to make people suffer and die for profits. What does that make you?
Think about it. It’s not too difficult. Do you want me to lead you by the hand?
