Modern Monetary Theory: A Primer

You answer every point made against your stance with a question. That is the weakest form of argument there is…

Answering questions with questions is not answering the questions asked, thats why you are a reclusing clown

I suppose I can only speak for myself. Back in the 1970’s I used a current PDR to research what drug I would ask my doctor.

Buyer beware.
I don’t concern myself with companies making a profit on the ignorance of the public. I do my own research. Think for myself (now that’s a novel thought.) Then make educated decisions.

I detest hand-holding.

What do they do with those profits? They don’t swim in pools of money like Scrooge McDuck. How does a worker get a raise without profit? How are new investments made? How is machinery maintained?

Your world view is child-like.

Yes, I believe in the democratic process. But who is the audience but a group of indoctrinated right-wingers. Hard pass!

The raises a worker gets is nothing compared to what the CEO and Bof Directors get. Plus they need to spend money on bribing politicians, to keep the spigot on.

Oh you must mean stock buybacks.

Keep your head in the sand so you can continue to live in a theoretical world.

Like I said before everyone is right wing when you are out on the left wing tip. I am probably slightly left of center at this point.

Most of us here have lifting in common. You don’t even have that in common.

I enjoy helping those that truly need it, but most are simply lazy (as you alluded too).

This is not the same as asking for free shit…they actually produce something that people want to buy. Supply and Demand you know (or you probably don’t because your macroeconomic view is beyond wack).

Everything one chooses to do past the age of about 17 is a just that - a choice. Choices have consequences. The consequences to these choices are generally larger in one remains willfully ignorant.

You can’t take the position that people essentially don’t have autonomy over voices they need to make about something as simple as food and then also trust that those people would make decent choices in any democratic political decision….

In what way? Blindly worshiping capitalism while simultaneously denying the devastation brought by it?

So massive tax cuts and rigging the legislation in your favor is not free shit? This is far worse as these successful companies don’t NEED help they just WANT more. Their greed never ends and people get hurt in the process.

And there is nothing that persuades their choice?

Their double digit IQ plays a role. Just can’t fix stupid.

Do you think Castoli made it that far?

Agreed. But again, you’re confusing capitalism with cronyism.

Because I don’t believe in the “pull yourselves up by the bootstraps” mentality in all cases. Everyone should be treated with respect and the government should stay out of marriage, religion, etc….
Healthcare needs to change in some manner, but single payer model isn’t the solution.

The entire school system in every state needs to change to keep the US competitive with other major countries.

I also think the us should have a strong military, get out of interventionist foreign policy, and make the immigration process easier…

Because they (the corporations) are run/governed by people, who to recap, are insanely greedy by nature. I don’t need an iPhone either but I want one. That does in fact point to my inherent greed and desire for “stuff”. Everyone has this trait - it scales with corporation size and ambition too.

Coming from a clown who is living off the system of capitalism…like i have been saying

A hyprocrite

But it’s the best he can do in this “rigged” system lol.

One could emmigrate, but I covered earlier that takes skill other than gambling on the markets (quite possibly the most quintessential capitalist profession)
