I don’t give a shit about those people. Put the government in charge of healthcare and you get the VA system. I know plenty of vets who have to deal with this system and the horrendous care they provide. Most with the means seek options outside the VA.
Also, my wife had to deal with the armed forces medical system for her ears as a kid. They messed up 7 surgeries on her ears and now she has permanent hearing loss.
Yeah - let’s put the government in charge. How naive.

I contribute to the funds being used to operate this supposed single-payer system therefore I do indirectly pay for the other person.

This is a nice theory you continue to cling too.

This is utter BS. Humans are inherently greedy - always have been, always will be. It’s a flaw of human existence. Even if you aren’t greedy (you do donate every extra cent you make right?), the majority will skew towards greed every time.

A lifetime of crap decisions leads to regret and grasping.

One of your problems is that when you think CEO you think Jeff Bezos and mega corporations like Amazon. There are millions of business with a couple million to a couple billion in gross sales with CEOs that make <$1m to a couple million in total comp. Your grasp of the economy is extremely shallow as has always been the case.

Yes, U.S. manufacturing has generally moved overseas and it has resulted in fewer manufacturing jobs here. This, in general, has been offset by lower costs to consumers. Whether this is a net positive or net negative for our society is debatable.

How many jobs has Amazon created? How many has Tesla? Silicon Valley in general? How many service related jobs exist in the U.S.? What about the growth in the financial sector in relation to job creation?

You talk about the economy in the macro, but you don’t look at or debate it that way.

Depression folks have long since been dead. Today, people are barely satisfied if they can provide for their wants.

OMG! What an idiot!

Yes you are

And where are your receipts to help bolster your beliefs?

And why has the typical American families wealth shrunk?

What kind of jobs are they? The pay? The kind where delivery drivers are shitting in bags or maybe the warehouse workers are pissing in bottles. Viva la’ capitalism. Man, this is awesome!

What does the finance sector mainly do? Make more money for those who already have more than enough?

This is simply false. The only section of America who has seen a shrink in wealth is the bottom 20%, so that is not the typical American family. At least be honest with your drivel.

Amazon has an average starting pay of $19 an hour. That is pretty good comparably… especially for the menial jobs.

Who says they have more than enough? What is that level? Who decides it? You in your fantasy realm of losery?

It’s a place to start if one is in need of a job. That can quickly be leveraged into something in a similar field after a few months experience

By default as a day trader you are smack in the middle of the finance sector. The entire job is speculating on colors of money…
Alanis Morissette could right a sequel to “Ironic” based on you alone.

Again, do you donate every penny over what you spend? I can make the argument you have more than enough if you have food/shelter. Anything above that would go to someone else according to your logic.

This is a great example of what I’m talking about. We were talking about manufacturing jobs i.e. income. Now you’ve pivoted to wealth a different thing, but that’s fine.

There are many reasons this could be true. Assuming it actually is, increased debt is one possible reason of many.

Obviously student loan debt is going to be a major contributing factor for younger generations.

Answering a question with a question. I’m shocked.

You understand millions of small businesses generate billions in sales through Amazon, right? You are aware that medium to large corporations generate billions of dollars in sales through Amazon’s marketplace, right? Are you not aware that individuals authors, artists, etc… can make a living selling through Amazon? Same with Etsy, eBay, their own stores via Shopify, etc…

Your understanding is so narrow it’s basically pointless to explain these things to you, but here we are.

It’s sad how lost you are. You pick and choose parts of entire industries that you think support your worldview. The financial sector is broader than Wall Street.

Anyway, doesn’t your income rely on the financial sector? I guess that’s okay, though, right?

Here I’ll help you broaden your knowledge:

This also begs the obvious question: Shrunk from when?

All of the above, with emphasis on the latter two.

This is a problem with free-market healthcare? You are aware that just saying words without regard for their meaning is not an effective debate tactic, right?

You always come back to this, which leads me to the following belief: You are a spoiled brat, whose parents gave too much. They were content to sacrifice not only for your needs but your wants. You are likely also an only-child. You grew up so sheltered from financial stress that you did not know it existed, so adulthood was a rude awakening. I do not believe parents do children favors by not discussing finances around them.

For @castoli711 who thinks Marxism kills less people than lack of single payer healthcare and that power isn’t concentrated in marxist/communist societies:
The Black Book of Communism - Wikipedia

We’ve known these numbers since at least 1999 (when the book was published).
Add to that Venezuela where it is now frowned upon to list “starvation” as cause of death because the famine is so bad. Please keep praising Venezuela of all f*cking places. 20% of the country has become refugees since 2014:

The healthcare system (similar to the one you hold in such high regard) has collapsed and diseases that are vaccine preventable are once again running rampant.

The amount of absolute delusion you possess is the reason a purely democratic country should not exist - to many like you would make just plain dumb decisions.

Real questions: Do you think the earth is flat? Did we land on the moon?

Says you.

And what typically happens to those who don’t have to work for a living?

But deny that some people are driven into despair w/o choices that you may have. Just an example of how out of touch you are. Did the minorities who were the victims of redlining have the same choices as you?

I know first hand a moron who agrees. And I bet we can find agreement with an idiot too.

BTW, I do respect one aspect of your miserable life. At least you didn’t pass down your seed.
