Modern Monetary Theory: A Primer

Those people have been oxygen-deprived for years. Cut them a break.

Brought to you by pharma. Gotta keep competition at bay.

And if you pay for insurance you are paying a very hefty private tax.

Freedom to sell garbage has it’s consequences.

And what of China’s healthcare system?

Again, welcome to capitalism.

More like rule by allof those wholesome corporations bribing politicians. Why dey do dat?

it is the corporations who own politicians who are in control.

And who benefited? Big business, pharma, etc.
And some people advocate more for this system. Wild

Bwahahaha…they come out on top of the majority of metrics. But I know, you know a guy…

No, you could just buy them overpriced insurance to hopefully take care of that.

More losers than winners.

Have you ever suggested a viable solution/alternative? No.

A total fantasy. Not dealing in reality. But you keep believing in this trash. D-bag.

Practically it has oligopolies built into the system.

But you do support the military, firemen etc.?

Is this why the rest of the industrialized world pays about half of what we do?

Welcome to Capitalism!

No, fuck no. Without the perverse profit motive, choices wouldn’t be blocked by the bought and paid for FDA to keep up pharma profits because another better, less expensive treatment is trying to make it to market. But when profits are interfered with, freedom of choice is no longer.

Been posting for over a year now. WTF, are you talking about?

Yes, I agree. When it’s more profitable, self-checkouts will replace all workers.

Yes. All brought to us by the freedom to sell products that are harmful to one’s health. In other countries you have to prove what you are selling is safe. In 'merica the public has the burden of proving it’s unsafe.

YOU are ridiculous. Please leave.

If A.I. would take over. Would the jobs created by A.I. outweigh the jobs it can take?

Wonder why this isn’t as prevalent in other countries? Maybe they don’t have the “freedom” to choose garbage like we do. In Europe there are things you are not allowed to sell because of it’s deleterious effects on human health. Oh no! What a gestapo they have over there. But better health, typically speaking.

Went to college. I have a degree. But in the end, who cares. If you are fired on the basis of lie how does that qualify one as a failure?

No, but you can be this blind.

And you just accept the way things are and just throw your hands up. What an inspiration.

If laws were enforced and the consequences of breaking them were a deterrent, thi would be much easier. But since corporations buy people they can rig the game to their advantage.

And if people didn’t demand particular products sold by Amazon, where would those jobs be?

But capitalism does. Yeah, I know it doesn’t say so but that is how it works in a practical manner.

So nothing should be done about it or is this just another, good luck!

Ahhhhh no.

More so than you, who just swallows the propaganda with a smile on your face.

Maybe. I’m a big fan of fiction. But one can see the practical way it works for most. It doesn’t.

Or maybe their insurance doesn’t cover it and they’re afraid of the cost. Hard to believe in our for-profit “healthcare” system, I know.

10’s of thousands, clown?

No you haven’t, mkay.

Truth sometimes hurts doesn’t it. Difficult to come to terms with the fact that you support a system that profits from suffering and death.

Well since you do, where are all the “studies” that measure outcomes showing how great the U.S. “healthcare” system is?

Utter ignorance highlighted by yourself. What a rube.

Has absolutely nothing to do with that line I posted.

You sure like to project, don’t you?

And how doesn’t it? It is one of the most popular structures of a corporation.

Yes they do. Break out of your bubble of corporate indoctrination and take a look around. Do some research.

You fight for what is right NOT because you will win.

I have actually been there numerous times and experienced it.

Have you?

No, I would just pay for it and get top notch care from the best physicians like I already do.

Sucks to suck like you.

No, that is stupid.

You fight always to WIN or else you are even dumber than I thought.

No…he is actually as dumb as you think he is

Brought to you by government.

Companies cover significant if not the majority of premiums.

Yes as does consumer choices.

What about it? The system for the Uyghurs, those in extreme poverty, or the party elite?

That’s not even remotely because of capitalism. College tuition is inflated for multiple reasons not least of which is government involvement.

I’m going to assume you had a stroke while typing this.

Let’s assume this is true, how would giving politicians owned by corporations more control solve the problem?

Jesus… I already broke this down so a child could understand, but I will try and break it down even easier for you.

Big business pays corrupt politicians for favorable treatment → COVID spreads → government gets heavily involved → mandates + Warp Speed + shut downs (mom and pops killed off in the thousands) → Big companies (Amazon, Pfizer, etc…) benefit everyone else does not.

Zep solution: More of the above.

Unbelievable.

Not even remotely true.

Doofus, I literally offered my solution directly below this.

Sure, fuckface.

Well, we have this thing called anti-trust law that has existed since the late 1800s.

I support the military being a government institution because it’s an agreed upon responsibility codified in the US Constitution and I don’t want civilians conducting war. It’s not because I think the government does it better.

Firemen are state and local or volunteer and squarely fall under the 10th amendment.

We’ve been over this multiple times. If they pay less, which is not as cut and dry as you make it seem, it’s because of:

  1. Healthcare limitation (less procedures covered)
  2. Extended wait times
  3. They pay their doctors and nurses dog shit wages. Apparently that’s okay for some reason…
  4. Reliance on us to cover many of their other costs from drug R&D to NATO spend.

That isn’t capitalism you troglodyte.

The FDA would absolutely block treatment options under single-payer. You are in complete denial. Every single payer system in the world limits treatment option more than we do. Every single one.

We all know you’re Zep.

You misspelled consumer choices.

You want more government intervention, single-payer, while also complaining the federal bureaucracy aka the FOOD and DRUG ADMINISTRATION doesn’t ensure products sold are safe for consumption.

I’m begging you, spend five fucking minutes thinking about this logical inconsistency, please.

Sure, it’s me…

Fuck off.

Bahahahahahahahahaha. Absolutely no one believes this.

You’re doing a splendid job combating human greed trading fiat currency for a living.

You aught to be mad at the ones taking the supposed bribes at least as much if not more so than the ones doing the bribing.

They wouldn’t exist. I literally just explained this. Fuck, man.

No, a bastardized version of it does. One that requires extensive government intervention in the market, which is the exact opposite of what capitalism is.

What do you propose be done about human corruption and greed?

You flip-flopped your whole world view after losings your minimum wage job and watching a YouTube video, gtfo.

Point proven.

I said this was a possibility, but you can’t admit that what I said is also a possibility because your ideology doesn’t allow it.

It’s a matter of scale you fucking doofus.

You wouldn’t know as you’re allergic to the truth.

Canada has a euthanasia program they’re hoping to expand to cut costs.

Point to the post where I made this claim? You keep stating “studies” show the UK system is better by most “metrics”. You are required to prove your claim. That’s how this works.

In before, “you might not have said this explicitly, but you implied it with your posts”.

We can add bankruptcy law to the ever expanding list of things you know nothing about.

“Have you not read about the government run healthcare in the U.K. and how it comes out on top of most of the metrics being measured.”

If cost is a metric than the fact that they pay their doctors poor wages absolutely does have something to do with what you posted.

How is it a projection when I have education and years of experience in the field?

Got it, you can’t answer because you’re a doofus. Has to ask a question to deflect, which is exactly what I said you do and you denied it.

That doesn’t make it a “standard” corporation. There is no such thing as a standard corporation. Words fucking matter.

And, the only reason I brought it up is because you didn’t learn your “plain corporation” lesson, Zep.

If co-ops are so much better more than 0.1% of businesses would organize as co-ops. It’s really that simple.

Drowning in irony.

I’ve always wanted to ask a supporter of this brain dead “theory” that there is infinite debt demand: what do you do for a living?

What an indoctrinated rube.

He’s supposedly a retail currency trader. I have my doubts.

Wanted to highlight one of your first posts:

He understood exactly none of this. He has no idea what you even mean by “the delta” or WACC. Not a single clue; yet, here we are months later… This thread is something else.

*He has no idea what AUM means. Zero clue.
