Modern Monetary Theory: A Primer

Not likely-if they see their peers suffering real consequences for their actions(spending the rest of their lives in prison) it will act as a deterrent. Provided it is enforced.

I’m not saying it is the ONLY factor, but it is a major one. Look at how many lobbyists in Congress there are. I believe pharma has 1,500. Almost 3 for every member of Congress. Now do you think they’d spend that much money if they weren’t getting a significant return?

The comment was on morals. Who speaks of punishment for the wrong-doings of the sociopathic CEO’s? You? Nah, you like others on here, see no reason to fight because that’s just the way it is. Give up and accept the corruption is your mantra in this regard.

I combined my response on two different topics into one post so not to clutter the feed too much…

You’re hands down the weirdest person I’ve ever encountered. All you do is talk about people you’ve heard of and/or the most ridiculous generalities. Such utter garbage opinions one after another.

I can’t even for half a second imagine arguing the merits of capitalism by talking about “the father of capitalism Adam Smith”. I would be embarrassed if that was my level of argumentation. You would certain fail any economic class if that was how you argued. Even community college level economic professors would question how you managed to enroll in the school.

Talk about an actual idea with some level of detail and understand ONE FUCKING TIME, please.

My man, you said the absolute dumbest shit about a very old Christmas movie that made zero sense within the context of the comment and when pressed on whether you even understand the moral of the story (relevant to your use of said story) you said “now you speak of morals”

You are dumb person.

What wrong-doings are you speaking of exactly?

he won’t say anything specific. It’ll be something about hurting the environment by dumping waste or polluting the air or not paying their fair share or not paying a living wage. It will not be more specific than that.

More bloviating from one of the most smug people on this forum. You said nothing but think you have.

Sorry not sorry you don’t understand simple things.

Not surprising.

Hmmmmmmm…didn’t you chide me about reading reddit before? Now you post it. It is only a matter of time before the capitalist system implodes on itself. Capitalism is losing ground as far as the youth is concerned.

Pot, kettle black, again.

Too bad for you. Look below. Bwahahahaha… Just an ignorant fool. They say ignorance is bliss. Is it? Oh, I’m sorry you aren’t aware of your indoctrination. I do remember when I was this way. Then, I decided to open my mind and not take for gospel the things I was told on a daily basis. I read people I wasn’t supposed to, as it was bad like them.

Pharma right off the cuff. The main issue I take with this argument is that it IS NOT taxpayer money but public money via MMT. The pharma industry should’ve been dissolved years ago. There is no need for their existence. The federal government, who doesn’t operate for a profit, can handle this. Like the health insurance companies, who are not needed and only add to the misery of human life pharma ought to be destroyed and anyone involved in this industry of misery ought to be behind bars for profiting from the suffering and death caused by their inexorable bend for bonuses and shareholder profits.

Plenty of information out there. Go to YouTube and look up AOC vs. pharma executive and see what you can find. It won’t allow me to post the videos I wanted here so…

This is the same logic conspiracy theorists claim for shit like flat earth.

Because they have done a bang up job running healthcare in the past…

I’ve said it before, healthcare needs to change but letting the government of this particular country run it would be a disaster.

It’s a meme you dildo and I didn’t read Reddit, lol. Do you not understand how the internet works? Oh, of course you don’t.

Yes because:

One of us has two degrees one of which is a masters, is a professional in a related field, and works directly with c-suite executives. The other was a bartender that prays for fiat volatility while posting about how awful capitalism is. Again, we are not the same.

Let’s recap.

@Bauber asked:

Then I wrote:

To which you wrote:

Which isn’t even an answer to his question, but, that withstanding, is the exact response I said you’d give. You actually gave less substance than I thought you would, which is almost impressive.

You said nothing in this entire paragraph that answered his question.

Then you suggest watching AOC. The dumbest member of Congress. Probably the dumbest graduate of Boston University. Perhaps we should watch the YouTube video of her being embarrassed over the border as well?

You switched from one ideology to a completely different ideology. You didn’t open your mind at all. You are incapable of assessing information for yourself. That is why you have to post YouTube videos and can’t just explain your position like everyone else here that is a professional with an actual education and/or working knowledge of the things we talk about.

As to the point you tried to make. Every single payer system in the world uses Big Pharma. You are not real.

I also think Big Pharma is corrupt and disgusting. They are the richest companies in the world for a reason.

I also think they have done a lot of good.

Also, government does not need to be running anything. Government couldn’t run a brothel correctly in an area that is 100% male without running it into the ground with inefficiency and bureaucratic bullshit.

Tort reform I have said we have needed for over a decade. That a long with reigning in lobbying could do a lot to bring Big Pharma and insurance companies to heel.

To be fair, a brothel in an area that is 100% male seems like a bad business model.
