All those boats and rafts heading to Cuba sure are a problem.
MMT is complete dog shit. God damn it, Zep… God damn it…
And don’t forget the millions of people leaving this god-awful disgusting corrupt evil capitalist country called America
Boat owners in south Florida are hiring security to keep their boats from being stolen. The masses of people in boats trying to cross the 90 miles of the Caribbean to get to Cuba makes the seas extremely perilous. Boat makers have multitudes of job openings to meet the demand. All paying in the six figures… starting pay, with benefits. Key West even has a new marina called Castoli Marina. There motto is: “You need to float? We got a boat.”
How about next time you quote me you don’t change what I said. Not all scientists agree on many topics from quantum physics, to theories of how brain operates, to, yes, climate change.
Also, your article proves my point that the majority of scientists agree on that climate change is happening in the first paragraph…what the hell are you trying to say here.
This would need proof. US sanctions are only for the US, if the Venezuelan economy was so good they could export and trade with many countries.
I am not talking about “working” when being lazy. I am talking about caring for their bodies.
“associated with” does not equal “caused by”. Words matter.
Except that it doesn’t…
Sure - I hope we turn into Venezuela ![]()
Did I say majority? Is it acceptable to you that 25% of the working are homeless in this great capitalist country?
Is this why the U.S. spends about twice as much as everyone else? And what about the cost of drugs? A healthcare system that places profit above health. Sounds awesome! So if there is a treatment that works better for people but that pharma will not make as much money on, it will be demonized by the corporate press and rendered illegal by the shills in the FDA. It’s all about shareholder profits. Like the hero of the economically ignorant on this forum Uncle Milty said the shareholder profits are the main or only concern of corporations.
So what did this worthless study get wrong?
They are certainly on their way. Mississippi has one of the lowest concentrations of homeless people, but between 2007 and 2008, the state saw a 42% jump in its homeless population – the biggest increase in the nation.
Read about it here or don’t. I’m sure you have a much better plan.
Who is we? The ruling class?
Ahhhh…no. It’s because the U.S. acts as the police of the world. How many military bases do we have? How much natural resources have we stolen or been the head of a coup, so that we can install a puppet regime friendly to U.S. business. Tough being the head of an empire. The Roman’s never had it so difficult.
Then why isn’t this cheaper food sold conveniently? If it is cheaper wouldn’t that mean bigger profits?
Says people who don’t understand it or have a vested interest in it being demonized. How much of the Kool-Aid have you been guzzling?
Total ignorance of the matter.
And Miami is filled with the ruling class of Cuba. They didn’t want to share in the resources or give up their slaves and were asked to leave OR were even kicked out. Most fled to Miami. Their pain means nothing to me.
OMG, are you that out of it to not know how the U.S. foreign policy works.
Okay, then what do you say “caused it”?
Says who? You? You don’t even understand the basics.
Don’t worry we won’t as their are no bullies to put their boot on our neck.
I am your moron. Recluse
Please allow me to add a label: Pencil Neck Recluse.
What are the rates of homelessness in the countries you champion?
What about basic necessities and livable conditions?
I am not the ruling class.
Sorry that you suck at life.
Somebody has to be on top.
Welcome to the world.
Get good scrubs.
Dipshit - none of the sanctions listed here:
https://home.treasury.gov/policy-issues/financial-sanctions/sanctions-programs-and-country-information/venezuela-related-sanctions
Would tank a strong economy. US sanctions Russia more strongly than Venezuela and their economy is stronger (albeit fading lately).
Oh and they are there to put pressure on the country to fix their humanitarian crisis.
People not taking care of themselves is I am sure more directly related to all cause mortality than “lack of healthcare”. Estimate here is between 280000 and 325000 Americans each year.
In case you can’t do math that’s 6X more than the Harvard study you posted.
Yeah because starving to death like current Venezuelans sounds so much better…
I guarantee I understand the basics. the theory is flimsy and not worth undertaking unless you want to hasten the end of the US - but that probably is what you want so it makes sense.
Yes, that is exactly why Venezuela and socialism didn’t work.
Lmao you are a clown.
Another news flash for you: humans have been stealing resources from each other since the first time we learned to make primitive weapons. It’s the way of our species.
The strongest win. This is true for all of nature.
Castolirini is definitely a weak link in humanity.
Yep. We should strive for peace. But be prepared for the eventual war.
Somebody will always try and take it from anyone they perceive as weak.
Human nature sucks that way.
I will repeat the concept castollini has no clue how to interpret:
Better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.
Well:
- divorce is more acceptable and frequent
- Those things are still plenty common; probably more so.
- You are comparing your father, who worked and made a good enough living to support you into your 50s, to yourself, who last worked 20 years ago. His secret? Not staying in his mother’s basement until he was over 50.
