Modern Monetary Theory: A Primer

Maybe this is true at UPS but I doubt very much that this is the case of most unions. Are you telling me that if members of a union see that someone is not consistently pulling their weight, the can’t say anything for fear of being fired or the very least written up? Which brings them closer to termination.

Neither is crapitalism.

And you can?

What offenses have I committed?

Multiple misinterpretations of different sets of data.

It’s clear to anyone following this thread.

And a masters degree in a STEM field does give me an advantage in reading research papers over a failed bartender.

You read a blog post and all of a sudden believe it because it says what you want to believe.

Have you worked in a union or with union members? I can tell you from over a decade of experience it’s the same in every union I have encountered.

However, they can easily make a gripe against non union members for stuff that’s not even an actual problem…

Capitalism isn’t supposed to be well-run, or even “run” at all. In fact, it can’t be “well-run.”

He says on a message board provided for free funded solely through voluntary supplement purchases…

4% of the population 24% of global GDP. Seems capitalism, which no one runs as @NickViar pointed out, is doing fine.

Dude likes to say people don’t know what they’re talking about, but doesn’t understand the absolute basics about anything; including, what capitalism is.

You don’t have to understand it 'cause it’s EVIL :imp:
That’s all that matters.
Feelings & Dogma > Data is the way most think nowadays.

I know it leads to oligopolies as is the real world case in the U.S.

Laissez-faire capitalism is a myth. Capitalism had it’s most financially successful period when taxes were high and regulation abounded. Now we have smaller taxes and less regulation. What has occurred? It must be babysitted or it will devour people and the environment. Just about anything for more profit.

And you say I don’t understand the basics, while you wallow around in fantasies.

And that is what the practitioners of this God-awful economic system push. While the gap between the haves and have-nots continues to grow, the excuse used to justify the system is personal responsibility, w/o acknowledgment the rigging of the system by the ultra-wealthy.

Man, can’t wait to hear your self-proclaimed nuanced reply. Bwahahahaha…

You don’t even know what this means.

The dumbest thing you’ve ever written.

Yes as demonstrated by this entire response.

Do you even read your responses before you hit “Reply”?

Serious question because your response was a non-sequitur.

And far left Marxism/communism has turned out so well for the countries that tried it…

Bold statement considering the plethora of evidence to choose from.

I really love how a failed bartender claims to know more about money, math, business and science over someone in finance, an attorney/wildly successful business owner, and an engineer…

We should have AI write a script for a sequel to Idiocracy where President Comacho is replaced by castoli. Comedy gold right there.

True story.

Right, that’s always been Zep’s shtick, though.

You guys need to know one thing about our dear friend here. His answers were frequently copied and paster ad verbatim from quora posts a little while back. Verified by doing a simple cut and paste search with a couple of replies when they looked too articulate to have been posted by him. There’s now Bing in the side bar in the edge browser. You could all literally be arguing with an AI 50% of the time.

Yes a failed bartender who was fired on the basis of a lie. Six solid years and 12 seasons and was fired from a lie. And that is okay in the system you uphold. A person who hasn’t worked a traditional job since. A person who does mostly what he wants with his free time. Something you cannot say, unless your boss would allow you. A person who makes his own hours and only needs a computer to make money. Probably more than you.

And we are back to unions protecting lazy workers and if other union members complain about it, they get written up. FOH.

Keep circle-jerking guys. You’ve got to be great at it by now.

I can observe consequences. But you have to live in theory and deny what the results are because it doesn’t fit your ideology.

Stay blind.

Your favorite sentence.

I love how you like to highlight your own ignorance.

No you don’t understand capitalism in the applicable sense, only the theoretical/cartoon version.
