Yea I saw this yesterday and loved it. Straight up California.

A skinny stoners dream meal.

lolz anyone of you guys read Buck Showalter’s comments on the Derek Jeter and Theo Epstein?

SF Giants put Brandon Belt on 25 man roster. I hope for more hitting from a Posey, Belt, Huff and hopefully return to form Panda in their line up.

I’M EXCITE! GO REDS!

The Giants only got stronger after winning the World Series last year, and that makes me very happy. The Phillies are falling apart, literally, and that makes me very happy as well.

SF vs. LA on opening day?

Yes.

I can see Atlanta taking the NL this year

it is going to be hard for Atlanta to take the NL this year without even making it into the playoffs. Giants, Phillies, Brew-crew and the wildcard Rockies. Count it.

Atlanta looks good this year. They will make the playoffs

I know it is all sorts of fashionable to pick the Braves to win the NL East. Its safe. They win and you look like a genius, they lose and no one is really shocked.

A few things to point out

  1. Utley only played 115 games last year and hit .275. Not exactly something impossible to replace.

  2. J-Roll played 88 games and hit .243. He had a woefully bad spring, but is in a contract year.

  3. The past 2 years Amaro (GM) has made BIG moves at the trade deadline (Lee and Oswalt respectively) and I see no reason why that won’t happen again this year. (though if he goes after Young I will throw a hissy fit. We do not need another aging in fielder with a bloated salary)

  4. Lidge has been struggling since '08. I see no reason why the Contreras/Madson combo can’t, at the very least, mimic his 7+ ERA from '09 when they went to the WS.

  5. With all of that, the Phils still won a league leading 97 games last year. Heyward is a phenomenal player, but I don’t think he is strong enough to carry the Braves to the post season.

I begrudgingly see the Giants taking the West, the Reds in the Central and Rockies taking the Wild Card. Pujols is looking to get paid big, he takes the MVP. Chapman gets ROY. The Cy Young is coming out of Philly again.

Boston takes AL East. Yanks WC. White Sox in the Central and Texas for the West.

That’s all I need to hear.

Let’s get this season started!

…Or maybe the Braves have a better overall team than anyone in their division and the initial shock of the Phillies getting Cliff Lee is over.

Aren’t you the same guy who ridiculed me for predicting two months ago that Philly would be nagged with injuries all year and that Atlanta would take the division? Jumping on my bandwagon a little late aren’t you?

In other news, the Giants are the best team in the NL, hands down. Best staff 1-12, underrated lineup and young studs in Bumgarner, Posey and possibly Sandoval and Belt. I like it. But I’m still pulling for a Phillies/Giants rematch in the NLCS. Every game will be 1-0, with the Giants taking it in 6 again due to their superior ability to manufacture runs.

The Brew Crew will be lucky to finish .500. Everyone’s on their dick because they got Zack Greinke, who’s done absolutely nothing at the major league level aside from one dominant year. And he’s injured.

I don’t remember that, but I wouldn’t be surprised.

Atlanta’s roster is starting to grow on me. I think they could be good this year.

I think the Phils and the Braves will be in the playoffs this year.

Just to throw this out there; I am a diehard padre fan

and with that said:

watching the Giants play and keeping up with their team has been damn fun. The amount of young talent they have and the force they have had on MLB makes it really hard NOT to appreciate them. Don’t get me wrong, i hope my Padres beat the Giants all 18 times this year (but i will take the 12 victories we had last year too) but you gotta throw some respect these guy’ way.

Don’t sleep on Shawn Marcum.

He’s going to have a really good year this year. He use to pitch in the AL East, easily the toughest division last year and in previous years.

Just look at Halladay after he went to the Phillies.

1-0 games???

Pitching duels are great and all… but come on you gotta like seeing SOME runs on the board. Not 9-8 but a 4-3 or 3-2 games are always the best.

Shawn Marcum’s not anywhere near Halladay’s league. I laugh at the comparison.
