MLB Playoffs 2010

Anybody else catch Wilson on Jay Leno a few nights ago? That dude is hilarious!

UGH. My sister just texted me that Uribe is now a smelly fucking DODGER!
3 years 21 Million.
W.T.F.

You just dodged a fat black bullet.

hehe… as long as he doesn’t pull a Kent everything will be ok.
Makes me wonder if Pandoval has made solemn vows to get his act together though…
wonder how he’s looking about now.

Latest rumor is that the Giants are in talks with Jeter’s agent.

I’ve heard that too… But I can’t see him leaving the NYY unless the Giants are willing to dish out super retarded amounts of dough and sign him into his 40’s

21mil for Uribe. What a load of shit.

That’s just fine with me. He had some clutch hits for us and was a fun player to have, but his stats weren’t pretty and definitely aren’t worth that price.

I just cringe anytime the smelly dodgers come up.

I neard that jeter stuff too… I wonder. I guess nyy changing up their sallary approach? Ill file the jeter rumor in the highly unlikely file. Which happwns to be adjacent to the circular file.

Jeter is an idiot. He should take what the Yankees offered him. Take the home town discount and retire as a Yankee.

Ahhh, Pads traded A-Gon to the Red Sox! Good news for NL West teams, bad news for the other AL east teams. I’m sad to see him go since he is a class act, but the Red Sox will pay him and his numbers should increase playing in Fenway. There is no way he can be pitched around in that lineup.

let this thread die.

Don’t jump the gun, he had work done on his shoulder this off-season so it will be interesting to see how he comes back from that.

Pat Burrell is the text book definition of class act. Settled on a tiny contract to stay in SF (he’s from the Bay Area). He definitely wasn’t what he once was, be he’s a stud and will be a great mentor in our clubhouse.

WHAT?

They shell out retarded amounts of money to jerkoffs who do nothing and then want to penny pinch for the most important player in their history. Everyone knows jeter isnt worth 20mill a yaer. No basebal player is “worth” what theyre paid.

George would be going nuts watching this shit if he were alive. He’d give jeter the 25 mill a yaer he really wants (to be making more than arod) and be done with it. Giving jeter an extra 5 mil a year is not going to break the bank OR inflate the value of the position (like giving burnett whatever he got, did)

Jeter just resigned for 3 years

I think the Yankees played it well. They knew nobody else would pay him what they can.

Nobody was going to pay him even half of their ORIGINAL offer yet they still threw in 3.5mill extra per year. I think their front office is retarded how thye handled the most important player in the franchise’s history. Not retarded for offering 15mill a yaer, retarded for letting the public know they offered 15mill a yaer. If all this was done behind closed doors nothing at all would be different regarding the outcome but the perception would be much better. PR fail.

Yea I think it’s pretty puerile that the front office made the negotiations public to leverage their stance against Jeter’s. They’re one of the most prestigious clubs in the MLB yet they resorted to lowly tactics like this to save a couple mil per year?

I definitely think this situation hurt their image, both in the eyes of the fans and the players.

Only about ten weeks until pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training! I can’t wait.

Never. I will now bump it every month so that you will continuously be reminded that the San Francisco Giants are the 2010 World Series Champions.
