As long as the Yankmees and Sillies dont go I will be excited. I would like to see the Twins win because a friend of mine plays for them (Jason Repko) and he deserves all the success he can get as he has been around a while.
Rays didnt win the division for nothin’, I would love a Rays/Twins ALCS.
I hate the Yankees ( but love Nick Swisher) and hate the Phillies. SF has the pitching and with timely hitting can beat philly, its just as if they get it done.
Oh and the national league has home field advantage this year so apparently they do exist.

The giants have a better 3 than the phillies? Halladay hamels and oswalt are the best three in baseball. Phils lineup Is also better and has so much more experience in big games. Plus phils have homefield throughout. I’ll upload a video of me and my friends at the phils ws parade after they win.
I actually feel good about this guy talking shit about the Phils again. Last time he talked shit about the Phils they happened to win the world series.

Yanks will be using a three man rotation throughout the post-season as they did last year through 15 games so everybody chill with the “ZOMG they can’t make it this year without Burnett and Vasquez!!!1” Also, can someone explain how a twins team that’s worse than last year’s (No Justin Morneau and Mauer with anemic power numbers) can expect to beat the Yanks in a short series? Old man Thome is a baseball god, but he’s the only moderately frightening hitter in that lineup.
Are you guys saying that you’d take Liriano, Pavano and Duensing over CC, Pettite and Hughes, who were all All-Stars? Because, you can’t say that the Twins have a better lineup…

According to that thread you are a terrible predictor. I’m glad you picked the Phillies to win because now I know they won’t.
Lol, true. I thought I’d go bold and predict a cubs WS ring. I guess I didn’t realize how bad their curse really is, haha.

Lincecum = Halladay
Cain > Oswalt
Sanchez > Hamels
Phillies hitting >> Giants hitting
Besides, both Halladay and Hamels have pitched better than Lincecum this year.

LOL. I will give you Lincecum and Halladay. But Sanchez has been a below-average pitcher until this year. For his career, Sanchez has walked 4.6 batters per 9 (this year, 4.5) and has a K:BB ratio of 2.05 (2.14 this year). Hamels a 3.62 K:BB ratio. Their ERA is virtually the same while Hamels plays in a slight hitter’s park and Sanchez players in a pitcher’s park. Sanchez has been extremely lucky to have an ERA that low. He only has a 41% GB-rate. That ain’t going to cut it in CBP with the Phillies power lineup. Anybody who really thinks Sanchez is better than Hamels is on crack or doesn’t know baseball.
Cain and Oswalt is closer, but still, looking objectively, Oswalt is better. Better career ERA, FIP and xFIP, and all three are better this year for Oswalt then Cain. Cain is an even more extreme flyball pitcher than Sanchez and also benefits from playing in that park which severely depresses home runs. This year, Cain had a career high of 2.9 K:BB ratio. Oswalt has been better than that every year but 2007, including this year’s 3.5 K:BB ratio.

Looking at their numbers for this season, this would be a pretty sick NLCS match up. I already admitted that your hitting lineup is superior to ours, but our squad has been swinging the lumber pretty well leading up to the playoffs. We also have the advantage in the bullpen.
Obviously Phillie would be the favorites, but I would love to see these two teams duke it out.

This isnt true. Theres no extra off day in the CS and WS this year. Yanks will use 4 in the later rounds.
The yankees actually can’t hit Pavano, that dirty piece of shit. But the twins are going with Blackburn game 4 and he’s horrible.
Well shit. Polanco out of line-up tonight with back pain. Valdez is certainly more than capable of handling third, but he can’t replace Polanco’s bat. I guess this gives Charlie an excuse to bat Jimmy at lead-off.
How about 'dem Rangers, huh? 5-0 in bottom of 5th. That Cliff Lee guy seems like a pretty good pitcher in the post season!

How can some of you even doubt the Phillies right now? I have nothing to say that hasn’t been already repeated in here. 3rd straight WS anyone?
What kind of fan would even think about bragging about APPEARING in the world series. Your team actually won it 2 years ago and you think its becoming to announce that they simply MADE IT there the next year. That’s a failure.
