World Series: Tigers - Doyers with Detroit bringing it home
Pure speculation and conjecture, of course. But a Los Angeles - Detriot World Series would split my whole family right in twain, and I’d love every second of it.

Not to be a dick but…is this a serious playoff prediction?
Are you really picking Baltimore to win the AL East and predicting the White Sox to have a better record than the Red Sox, Jays, Rays and Angels?
The Baltimore Orioles are one of the worst teams in baseball!
I was reading the beginnings of this thread.
Oh my.

While his predictions are pretty good they are still of the crystal ball variety.
Pretty much everything broke right for Baltimore. Catastrophic injuries to the rest of the division, WC expansion, their bullpen guys having career years, fill-in players playing out of their skulls (Mclouth, ford etc) and of course luck.
Their starting staff is abysmal but they keep chugging along.
They will likely be at the bottom of the AL East barring major changes to the starting rotation.
Shit, I can’t take this game. I’m following on the radio right now since there aren’t any TV readily available at work and I haven’t really listened to much baseball on the radio lately, certainly not any postseason ball recently. But I gotta tell you, with announcers like Jon Miller and Dave Fleming (voted the best radio combo in the game by the Wall Street Journal) tense games like these really translate well to radio. I feel much more edgy, irritable and prone to mood swings more than when I watch the games I think.

That is true. Sports are random.
On the topic of Texas, I think playing into November two straight years caught up to them
And Hamilton quit dipping too.

Even though he’s not on any narcotics he just needs something to abuse. Earlier this year he missed games because his vision was fucked from over caffeination through energy drinks.
Great. Jeremy Affeldt just got drilled with a foul ball in the leg that knocked him all the way down the dugout stairs. Now he’s out and they’re down a quality bullpen arm.

Wow, Posey just made a great throw to nail a runner at third on the back end of a strikeout/throw out double play.
Go dusty baker is a fucking idiot. Down 3 runs and you pull a double steal with drew Stubbs at the plate.

Well, it was a full count so he it wasn’t a straight double steal. Cain was laboring and having trouble getting swings and misses at that point and he was facing a guy who had some good swings off him. Bruce has pretty decent speed also. So I don’t think Baker was really making a boneheaded call there by putting the runners in motion on 3 and 2 with that particular scenario. They’re down by 3 at the time with the bottom of the order coming up so he’s definitely trying to make something happen there while he still can. On top of that, having a right-hander OH FUCK! Crawford makes a diving catch to his right! I can’t wait to see the highlights. Anyways, on top of that, a right-handed hitter in the box makes the throw to third that much more difficult for Posey.
They both played the situation pretty well and the Giants just came out of it on top that time. That’s baseball.
Man, I’m starting to think Bochy made a bad move going to Lopez instead of Mijares to face Bruce after Affeldt got injured. Or maybe even just started the inning with Casilla since he brought him after Bruce’s at-bat anyways.
