Laugh out fucking loud.
Laugh all you want clown. I don’t happen to be a 20 something no mind and understand that there needs to be laws on the books. You and Lifty live in la la land.

Now run along boy.
Big gov Zeb, who wants smaller gov. and less gov. intrusion into people’s lives. Except for when deciding what he/she can put into their body. You sound a lot like Bloomberg. You’re chock full of hypocrisy buddy, you just can’t see it because, like a lot of wannabe Nannines, you think you know better than everyone else.
Perhaps I’ve had enough real world experience to understand the full impact of what you are preaching…and you don’t. If you think that people can live with no laws you are sadly mistaken. And I’m glad we’ll never get to see how mistaken you are.

Smaller government does not mean no government at all.

As Thomas Pain said, “Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one.”

Someday when you begin thinking beyond your own personal needs and toward the greater good of your fellow man the above quote may dawn on you maybe not.

He does have one point Zeb, Ive always found it very hard to reconcile someone that is conservative fiscally and for small government (right choice btw) but is pro the war on drugs (a massive failure and expansion of government)
He has no point–The two are completely unrelated. You are assuming that because a wrong action was taken that the point of it is also wrong.

I’m against any form of government involvement. Unlike you I am consistent there is no hypocrisy in my positions. I want smaller government, less government intrusion into people’s lives. Open up the borders and let the Insurance companies battle it out – It’s called a free market system B r i a n.

In short, government has no business dictating health care needs to private individuals.
Interesting.

Now tell me, how does your support of both Republicanism and small government exist alongside each other.

There are two main parties in the US, as you know. And of the two republicans have a better handle on most issues. Have they been good at shrinking government…hell no! But they at least have the intention, and the right philosophy. Democrats on the other hand tell you up front that they want to grow government and take our money to do it.

So color this the far better of two choices. And I do believe eventually it will be a republican who fixes the mess that we’re in based on their philosophy of government. And for all we know that person could very well be Mitt Romney!

No, I prefer lower taxes and the death of national health care. Romney will do both of those things and more! Obama on the other hand will continue to tax and spend us into oblivion. Anyway, Obama has had four years and he’s failed why not give someone else a chance?

Simple.

If I take your car and total it and say I had the intention to not to do so, would you believe me the first time

What about the second time? Or the third time?
When would it become the boy who cried wolf?

Support republicans all you like. But don’t pretend that they will reduce the role of government one iota.

That’s not an accurate analogy. There are more people in charge of the car than just you.

First of all it takes an entire government in order to reduce the size and scope of government. If you recall, (well at least read) Ronald Reagan lowered taxes to the lowest they’d been in many years. And submitted a budget that would have cut the size of government. But the democrats shot it down. A President can in fact lead but we have a system where it takes both parties in order to make major changes. For example do you think President Obama would have gotten his health care bill through both the house and senate if they were controlled by republicans? Of course not don’t be naive. If we elect a republican President and also a republican house and senate in 12 (which is not likely) I believe that we will see smaller government and lower taxes. Liberalism just doesn’t work and it never has.

One final point, Bush cut taxes FOR EVERYONE by 5% and added almost 4 million jobs. Reagan cut them by a much larger margin and added 20 million jobs! This philosophy of allowing people to keep more of their own money appeals to me. Call me crazy but I work for my money and I’d like to keep as much as I can.

At this point there is no reason for anyone who actually works for a living to vote for a democrat. And in particularly this democrat, he’s been a resounding failure by almost any standard!
