Missing Link Between Man and Apes Found

I’m going to sidetrack just a bit and speculate that it is entirely possible that 600 years from now scientists will look back at our contemporaries (scientists) and view them in a similar manner as to how scientists today view those of the 15th century, [shaking their heads] “Oh those poor pitiful fellows, there’s so much they got wrong but they were doing the best they could, I guess.”

Every scientific generation since time immemorial must have thought how cutting edge they were (and they were in a sense) so I have a feeling “tip of the iceberg” type talk might be an understatement here. There’s simply too much to learn in this universe to be able to think we have arrived.
You’re absolutely right. And yet, there are always idiots who cling to old myths because it makes them comfortable. Can you think of any groups of people propagating bronze age myths?

As there are idiots right now clinging to new myths because it makes them comfortable.
If it were a myth, you’d be able to disprove it.

Good luck with that.

Have any of you read about skeletons and bones found that are very large, like giants.I have read about this quite abit like the remains found at table mountain in california.

But nothing is ever in the news or on the history channel about this.

hello everyone… I seem to be a bit confused with the tumult between Bill and Push… aren’t you both Creationists? I suppose I understand about the splitting of hairs with the “missing link” article, but aren’t you both on the same team, and therefore should not be so “on edge” with each other?

Unless of course there is an unknown to which I am mistaken with… (such as Push being a young-earther and Bill being an old-earther?)

By extension then, you would therefore bear the same responsibility.

Good luck with that.
The fact is that man made religion has been proven to be a farce. If you want to hold onto your childhood fairy tales, then I truly pity you.

Thank you for the clarification, Mr. Push. I certainly enjoy a good “shoot-out” with my brothers in the Faith… So what’s up with Makavali? I don’t know whether to eviscerate his sophomoric ideas or to just pray and have the Spirit of God deal with him…

…by all means, eviscerate!

Maxwell, your very words indict you. YOU are the one with the man made religion.

The faith you’ve shown here on TN on this subject is astounding. I hope mine is as strong.
If you’re genuinely a young Earth creationist, then this post is even more hilarious!

I believe I will just pray for Makavali… the evisceration can come at another time when “time” is not an issue.

And I will leave you with this to ponder:

“The fool hath said in his heart: ‘There is no God’.” <The Book of Psalms 53:1>

… and this:

The Lord Jesus Christ speaking:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” <The Gospel According to Saint Matthew 11:28>

AND

for some incite into the fusing of science and Faith, I suggest you visit reasons.org. You will read the works of some of the smartest Christian astrophysicists and biologists alive on the planet today… think of the intellect of Bill Roberts on steroids and you will get the picture…

Why can’t you be a religious person and accept my super great relative?

I thought religions were supposed to be accepting of others

…you guys are hilarious!

Lost city in Syria predates the wheel

“A prehistoric town that had remained untouched beneath the ground near Syria for 6,000 years is now revealing clues about the first cities in the Middle East prior to the invention of the wheel.”
