If you had done trt again, what would be the minimum time you gave each dosage/frequency change?
6 weeks
So every time you hit six weeks and it’s not working, bam!, you’d change it. Is it because you found the sweet spot of everyday injections so quickly within that change?
What if I’m only willing to change dosage and not frequency?
It will take you longer, that’s all.
The only time I have waited less than 6 weeks is when I experimented with higher doses. Higher dosas eventually wind up giving me insomnia. Once I start getting insomnia I will change my dose to something lower as I clearly will not spend the next six weeks not sleeping. Other than that I will always wait at least six weeks for my body to adjust and see what the end result is.
Unfortunately if you use sustanon you need to wait at least 8 weeks…blaah
Takes me 7 weeks to feel better usually so I’d try to give it that at least
If you were on weekly injections and not happy would you start with dosage first before trying to split the same dosage up into more than one injection during the week?
I need 8 weeks not 6 weeks to really know if a protocol is a success, I can still feel slight fluctuations at 6 weeks. Your levels might be stable at 6 weeks, but you body takes longer to adapt.
I’m on Week 5 of a protocol change and having insane swings. Getting sweat rashes which only happens on a protocol change, but usually earlier. Still getting the occasional heart racing for no reason. Nothing has been predictable one day to the next. Libido is really cranking ridiculously which is promising but… fluctuations, so we’ll see.
I usually feel good at 6 weeks but seem to level off at between 8 and 9 weeks.
I’m on 2 shots a week for a total of 125mg I’m 5 weeks in atm. I’m thinking if this doesn’t work I might go to 180mg x2 and if that don’t work changing injection frequency is next.
What am I supposed to feel when this dialed in thing happens, as from what I have read is that more things happen the longer you stay on a certain dosage/frequency
When everyone started trt was the initial start the easiest that you had to enjure and every protocal change after that is really tough. Because I’m struggling so much I pray that this is the one as I’m not to keen to start another change haha
Assuming you’re using test cyp, it takes about 6 weeks to get you’re levels up to where they’re as stable as they’ll get for whatever injection frequency you’re using. But it may take longer to start to feel all the benefits at a certain dose. Depending on what symptoms you’re still having, if you fell a bit better it might be worth hanging at a certain dose for a few extra weeks to see if you continue to improve, but if things are still pretty intolerable look at bumping your dose.
There’s a chart somewhere of how long it takes for certain things to start to improve when starting trt. I don’t think I’d wait a year for some of them, but if you can hold out an extra 3-4 weeks, do that, but again only if you think you’re seeing improvements come.

When I say 6 weeks, this is the absolute bare minimum but it’s pushing it. 8 weeks is more ideal.
If you are new to TRT you need to wait AT LEAST 8 weeks.
If you are almost dialed in and make a small change, you will get a good idea within a few weeks.
It all depends at what stage you’re at.
If I had to do it over again I would have tried to think of things more long term instead of being fixed asap. 8-12 weeks minimum for a dosage change. For me 8 weeks is when I start to not feel worse than the previous dose and 12 weeks is when many of the positive effects start to take root. 6 months is where you can really judge if things are ideal but 3 months let’s you know if you’re close. I’d be willing to bet a majority of the folks with issues would be fine if they gave themselves 6 months.
I hope so.
In your experience, if I felt little better on 100mg/week x 2 injection(12 weeks total) than pre trt and changed the protocol to 125mg week x2 injection, could that 25mg increase reset me to sqaure one. I’m at 5 weeks now and not feeling better but like everyone has said 6-12 weeks so if the increase would effect me in that way, I’m not far off knowing.
Wait longer before changing your protocol.
